I had that problem with my Stealth. I hate to say it but I fixed it by turning till tight plus a tiny bit extra, then back off and repeat until it goes freely. Eventually it went on fine and goes on and off freely now. I doubt this is the proper way so do this at your own risk. I was impatient and wanted to make it work, and it did

Remove the center post first by loosening the bottom nut a bit, then using a screw driver to remove the positive post. hold the bottom of the 510 connection because a nylon nut insulator thing comes out. Then twist off the top.
Mine had some wicked burr at the top of the base screw, the part that the insulator sits on, that made it hard to remove. The burr was actually part of the treading that looked like it partially snapped off, so I cleaned that up... And now it's easy peazy!

But what I had to do was use 2 rubber bands, and put one on the base, and the other on the upper cap, get a good grip on it, and twist fast.

My ac9 threads fine on my Provari, but the threading looks kind of crappy... If I try to wipe the threads with a napkin or even a towel/shirt. The burrs would catch the fabric... I also had to sand down the center post (part that touches the center pin of your pv) because it was actually beginning to cut into the center post. Didn't expect that for it's price. But after all that, I do like the AC9. Just wished it was inspected for all the little easy fixes prior being on sale.

i got it apart. the top cap was ceased in the base/center part. took forever but i got it off. putting it together was more annoying. the little delrin / nut insulator at the bottom would not ....ing thread after a while. got it together but i dont think it will activate on a provari. on the chi_you i have the chi you pin in the top most position. trying to screw it in more just causes it to spin, i cant seem to get it to hold in place doing anything.

oh well. at least its ....ing together again

Exactly as dir stated. I'd advise using a "cheaper" mod.

Every few attempts take it off and wipe the ac9s 510 threads down. It may loosen some micro burs in the threading

guys it worked, it now fits flush on the chi you. thanks for the help. really appreciate it
