i own an ac-9 and absolutly love it. however cannot comment about the zap. one of the things i have hears about the zap is an airy draw, but the stock cap for the ac9 also is airy, i knew this before my purchase, so i bought a second cap for the ac9 that has a tighter draw, which for me is perfect. the ac9 is extemely easy to set-up, and is just so smooth. it has probably the biggest wick hole out of any genesis atty that i know of, which is good for me, because i love to use 28g wire. the tank is pmma, some kind of plastic, which doesnt bother me at all because i do not vape anything that can damage it. this material is very dense and doesnt hold any flavors, from a previous flavor. as you probably know the center post never touches the juice in this atomizers design, as the tank is molded around the post. this enables you to disasemble the atty without taking out the juice. i have it on my provari and is just about the same diameter, maybe a smidgen smaller. i recently found someone on the forum that makes a provari skirt, with this added to the provari it makes the whole ensamble look all in one. i would highly reccomend the ac-9. one plus for the zap i would say is that it is basically made for the provari and probably does look a little more all in one, but with this skirt thing it is close.

I have both,my AC9 is a first run and I *think* they have made some improvement on the design but ain't sure what they did.
The positive post connection on my AC9 is aggravating, but that may be one of the lmprovements,I dunno.
If I was only gonna buy one,it would be the ZAP,but I know someone will disagree.
Different strokes for different folks

yes i do have a second run, and what i think they did was to add a spring to the connection. i didnt like it so i took it off. i dont know if it is now the same as the first run as i removed the upgrade, but dont have any issues with it at all. if you just hold a screw driver to the top screw while tightening the nut below it doesnt seem to loosen up the whole post. but being that you have both, your opinion on the devices would be a little more valid in that you can make some better comparisons.

Thanks guys, I have black, silver and pink ( for the wife ) provaris. I dont really care about how they look on the vari, I just want the easiest and best performer. I would get a $ 25 discount on the Z-atty from provape, but the AC9 is just looking so damm nice!

Any word when that AC9 is coming in stock?

I recently got 3 provaris too.. Got the zatty pro with the $25 500 rewards discount (in the mail still) and am still going to grab up an ac9. (I live in Raleigh so I better represent. ) At least that is what I told myself for justifying both the ac9 and the zatty. Just a few other things to consider, the wait time for zatty pros is becoming more like 2 weeks between batches, and the wait time for AC9's is well, longer. I Know the ac9 pmma tank is thick, but god forbid I was without it until the next batch comes around. On the other hand the AC9 is either the #1 or #2 spot for best overall genesis from what I can tell. I say get both :p

Thanks for the replies guys, I really think I'm ready to step up the rba world. I've re-built plenty of vivi and T3 coils, so I think I'm up for the challenge, actually looks pretty simple from the videos I've watched on the ac9 and z-atty. I really want to find out if the flavor is really that much better than clearos and cartos, I have a feeling it is.

The tank is the most important thing to consider, it's very unlikely you're gonna be able to get a glass tank for an AC9 so if you're a fan of known tank mongling juice that kinda makes it a non starter.

Good point. I hadn't thought about it. I was thinking about getting an AC9; but it's a lot of money for a plastic tank, even though the tank is kind of a cool design.

if you only have or will ever have just one genny, and you do like those plastic eating juices, then i definatly would not get the ac-9, but most of us have multiple gennys so you can still vape that, whatever it is juice. i wouldnt soley base it on that. you know i have been trying to buy some pluid for months, finally was able to get some. it is the nastiest juice i have ever tried, god awefully horrible. but you know taste is subjective, for sure. anyone want to buy some?

I agree, re the Pluid. I got a small sample of it at a local meet up a few weeks ago. I was anxious to find out what all the fuss was about. Man...that stuff is awful. Then, like an idiot, being a fairly experienced DIYer (if I do say so myself), I decided to try cloning it, thinking I could make a facsimile that was more to my liking. Nope. Mine was just as awful. Anyway, I don't have to worry about cracking tanks with that stuff.

I have both. They are both awesome. it is hard to compare both as there are distinct differences in performance between them. Some call the ZAP "airy" draw..... I don't consider it a truely airy draw but the way the chamber is designed and the way you have to draw on it makes it seem kinda airy but the flavor and vapor concentration on the ZAP is unique and strong. The AC9 on the other hand I would consider to be an airy draw but it is a cloud makin lung killer :) tons of vapor!!

I actually like em both almost equally......but for different reasons...

DSmooch, small wick hole.......take out the insulator and the wick hole on the Zen is huge :)
