Also, look at your atomizer and make sure the positive connector is protruding from the 510 enough. Remember, with a Simpl mod, or any of those mods that connect the atty straight to the battery, you must be very careful of the battery shape/condition, and the atomizer.
Spitzer, forgive the following if you already know it, but direct-battery mods like the SMPL
must use a juice attachment that has an extended center pin (see the two attys to the left, below).
The real question, though, is why did your setup short circuit when you fired the mod without a juice attachment attached?
Could you have put the battery in backwards? Is the protective insulating wrap around the battery torn or frayed?
Check the voltage of the battery. If it is less than 3.4 volts, the battery is probably fried internally and should be discarded. If the voltage is above 3.4 volts, keep a close eye on the battery during use, making sure that it doesn't get warm.
