So my brother is in the bakery business and I had him order me some samples from one of his vendors. They sent me some AP powder and EM crystals. I know how to mix the EM. My question is, has anyone mixed their AP from powder? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Yeah I could actually smell the AP through the box so some major dilution will be needed!

Please note that they recommend 10 PPM in the flavor of the pure stuff, not their extract. That powder will be pure. Now that is incredibly powerful stuff.

Thanks Morpheus, I am just wondering if the powder is soluble in PG or if I need to dissolve in alcohol and then dilute that with PG.

Sorry about that: 2-ACETYLPYRAZINE (1-PYRAZINYLETHANONE)
2-Acetylpyrazine is soluble in water, which means it should be freely soluble in PG. If not, add a little water and it should go.

TFA AP is a 5% (1/20th) dilution in PG, so 1 part AP powder to 19 parts dilutant. This should amount to 1/4 teaspoon AP in 19ml PG, but Id start with 1/8 teaspoon and add another 1/8 if it isnt strong enough. The solution should be a really light/pale lemon yellow.
Yes it is pale yellow. The 1/8 teaspoon sounds pretty simple I think i'll go that route. Thanks Markyd!
Got it mixed. Did dissolve well in the PG with just a little heat. Thanks to all!
Just some advice about working with the powder, the scent will attach itself to your clothes. It is VERY strong!
