I saw that in Facebook (FB appears to be the guy's sole means of advertising) but thought better of going in deeper until I have Achilles #1 in hand.

Did yours ever get out of the Kiev city limits?

I received an email about the sale.

It has left Kiev! Now I'm obsessively checking my mailbox!

This is the drop top that I love with my Achilles. This is a great sale. I can really tell the difference color-wise between titanium and SS. They have other titanium ones on sale as well. It's an excellent price! This one has a draw similar to a kayfun. I don't care for the wide bore.

Can't see it. The page must be using Flash (which, in Steve's infinite wisdom, an iPad can't deal with).

It looks like this:

I'd like it better if the materials were reversed -- delrin on top. I've gotten to where I don't *hate* metal DTs if they're good stainless, but metal DTs accumulate lip-smut a lot more easily than any plastic, whether delrin or acrylic.

I don't necessarily disagree, but that would defeat the purpose of isolating heat from the tip. The thing I'm not sure about is how narrow the opening looks. I'm reminded of poorly designed DTs from the old days in which juice got trapped and wound up in your mouth. A drip tip is something you'd think would be hard to @&$# up, but some people managed to anyway.

The passage looks more like the traditional size (not wide bore). I know that's ambiguous but closest description I can think of.
I use the Super-T tips from the now defunct Super T Engineering. They used a funnel design that gave you a big dripping target that contours down to a small opening.

My hot tip is no it wouldn't. Regardless of where the thermal break is it is still a thermal break. Could be all delrin too.
Agree Woof. I think this gives a thermal break while maintaining the titanium aesthetics. That's what makes it an attractive tip. I've never owned a tip with cooling fins either. I wonder how much they help.

I've thought about the ones Titanium Mods makes for just that reason (and because they'd match well with an Achilles, of course). I'm just hesitant to place another order there until order #1 lands in my mailbox.

I figger at $3.60 each for these VapeRev tips it isn't much of a loss if I don't like them. I know they normally sell them or $15 - $18 bucks so it's a hell of a deal...for titanium.

If I can find something else on the website to justify the shipping, I may do the same. Home James! Time to check the mail.

I get lip smut with either. It's why I ordered three of them so I could change them out.

I don't ever seem to get it on my acrylic Ming, though it accumulates so fast on my stainless knucklehead, I find myself wiping it constantly. It starts feeling "sticky," and kinda icks me out.

It's not so much how it icks me out, I just worry someone else will catch sight of it and mistake me for a transient vaper.

Just Got My Achilles In The Mail!!!!!! Very nice, shiny, not a scratch! Threads are nicer than the clone, and the opening to the air cone seems a tad wider, so it seems to have a tiny bit more airflow than the clone, but the airflow ring lets you dampen that down as much as you want. Haven't coiled it up yet, but I'm really pleased! It didn't come in a box, but in a bubble-mailer, but the unit was wrapped in a tube of foam. Expect yours anytime!
