My :2c:

As long as the tank is reasonably well made, I don't think it factors in
to how well it works. The carto used and your particular juice are the main factors.

The carto that came with my Liquinator worked fine. The only leaking I had, I think
was caused by temp variations between inside and outside. ( over 90 degrees outside )
Then I put a DC carto in that didn't seem to get wet enough no matter how big I made
the slot. It didn't seem to wick all the way up.

Now the smoktech comes out with a flanged DC carto with only a pinhole in it that seems
to work for most, even with thick juices.

Mind you, if the tank is poorly made or sized improperly for a good seal, it'll cause problems.
But, unless you got Bubba making them out back with a hacksaw and a hand drill,
they are a fairly simple design. Other than a couple of variations, they are all basically the
same. I say focus on the carto and juice.

My preference is the Phat tank from Vaporescence. It is a perfect fit for the Silver Bullet.

Look into these. Im useing this type on my Provari and im extremely pleased. They are cheap and easy to clean/reuse.
Carto Tank Mods

And those are even cheaper to make yourself, use these 50 Vinyl Grommets 5/16" Bore Diameter 5/8" O.D. | eBay and these Amazon.com: Clear Polycarbonate Tubing, 5/8" ID, 3/4" OD, 1/16" Wall, 36" Length: Industrial & Scientific

If you already have something to cut the tubing, you can make 25 of them for about $20

Don't use the rubber grommets, they leave a bad taste and smell on the juice, I already tried some from a local hardware store. The vinyl ones on ebay have no odor and the same stamp that the ones from parkes have

Heyas ckgjt,

The tanks sold on madvapes and other places use a carto that sorta looks like it has a washer attached to it on the threaded end (can't think of any other way to describe it right off), but the ones I have from parkes just use regular old cartos that have been punched. And, everything fits so snugly that I don't really see any need for the special cartos. The tank doesn't move on the carto at all unless I REALLY try to make it move. And I carry one around in my pocket quite often with no more leaking issues than any other carto (i.e. a tiny amount of liquid on the battery connector, which I clean out occaisionally.)

If the dims Jeremy-WI gave are correct (and I'm sure they are. Just haven't ordered the stuff myself and tried it yet) that's all you need. 2 grommets and a piece of plasting tubing.

With that said, if you buy a prebuilt one, Parkes vaping seems to have the best prices around for them.

Oh, and on the acorn tanks, I have a couple of those also. If you like ce2's, they're probably a good buy. So far though, I'm having the same issue with the acorn tanks as I do with any other ce2. Either it doesn't wick well enough and I burn the wick, or it wicks just great, gives fantastic vapor and taste, but I end up with juice leaking into the center post and out the bottom and gunking up my pv. I'm still experimenting with them to see if I can find a way to make them work well :p

Heyas Jeremy-WI,

Thanks for the links. I've been looking around on amazon, thinking of trying this exact thing. I more than likely would have ended up ordering the rubber grommets and wasted the money. Now I know better! Will be buying this stuff when coin allows.

you don't have to use those cartos you can punch a hole in a dual coil carto and it works just fine thats what I have in the one I'm using right now I didn't get the tank from madvapes but its the same one I got it from greenhouse one the only difference is the one I got was a little less expensive

be4 i am not a carto fan..but all this changed, the micromizer i use since i got it last week..the micromizer tick all the boxes for me

1)the LED lit up when in use

2)the tank hold 1.3 ml juice

3)it is easy to refills and no leak if U follow the steps for filling on the back of the box

4)the durable tube is tough

..only drawback is the moisture accumulated on the inside of the drip-tip after many hours of vaping..need to be Q-tip to clean..as minute liquid can be sucked up during vaping(taste as thou u taking a sip of e-juice,not nice)..Only a week in use .. as i retired my atomizer/cartridge set up..now in favour of my new micromizer for my 510-T & eGo LCD batteries
