Acrylimax question?

Sorry if its been posted, I looked around in the v/zmax thread but could not find it. Plus I can't post in that section yet...

So my question is, does the acrylimax have short circuit protection?
I have one coming in on Monday along with a vivi nova. I just want to know if the nova shorts out, I and the device will be safe.

yes it does have built in short protection on a software level, in addition to that, the springs on most APVs are melt-away, so if for whatever reason the software protection fails, the springs in the end cap will melt and prevent an explosion, you will be safe
