Why doesn't SI carry atomizers for dripping? *pout*

I bought a bunch of new flavors and wanted to try dripping because I heard it's really easy to clean an atomizer and you get good flavor. So I ordered the 808 to 510 adapter and a 3.5 ohm atomizer. That was a total noob mistake because it didn't work. I assume the ohms were too high after researching a bit.

So today I go to my local vape shop and get a 2.4 ohm atomizer and it still doesn't work! I get the battery to light up but no vapor whatsoever.

Thought? Help?

Just though of something else- do you have any used up clearos? I use old clearos for tasting new flavors. Cut the wicks short (if they are top coils) and leave the rubber seals out so the coil is exposed. Then just drip a few drops of juice directly on the coils and vape. Vape it all out, and you can go on directly to the next flavor.

Nice tip I'll have to try it out sometime

I dont know if this helps you or anyone else but I took an old cartomizer and a pair of tweezers, removed the polyfil..........washed it out, let it dry and I use that as a drip tester.

It has also come in handy for my mixing of pre-mixed juices. I rotate two and when they flood out or quit working, I use another one. I would only use the SI cartos because the coil is at the bottom but it works well.

DUH! You guys are so smart!! Yep. I have multiple sizes and they are all automatic.

I knew about the old carto with the filling removed, but wanted a 'real' atomizer. The carto thing always kind of tastes funky and I can never get rid of the old flavor even after washing and drying.

Time to order a manual.

You guys are the BEST. <3

If you are getting draw and the batt is powering up then maybe all you need to do is adjust the contact on the atomizer. Use a small screwdriver and gently try to raise the contact just a hair. Check youtube. I would suggest to try a SI carto and after rinsing well with hot water do a couple of dry burns to clear out old flavor. (only do this after conversion for dripping, removal of filler). I did this with a Mistic setup and it works fine.

The best ohm for the Volt batteries is the 2.6-2.8 range if you can find it, a 2.5 ohm atty would be ok, a 3.0 ohm might not provide enough vapor. Anyway, I never got the hang of dripping even on my big battery mods (510 thread devices).

I find Smokeless Image's very own ce3's perfect for testing out juice flavors. I have to use a 510-to-808 adaptor for my mods.

The ce3's only require a small amount of juice to try out to see if you like it, the ce3 only holds approx. 1 ml. They are clear, so you can judge the viscosity of the juice as you vape it. No polyfill like a carto has, so there's no alteration of juice flavor. They are cheap, and relatively re-usable. If you don't like the tested juice - remove it with the syringe, rinse the innards with water, and refill with the next flavor. It will be even easier when the newer, no syringe fill variety are available.

Saw a video(steeljan at around 1:10) that said it makes a difference which device is attached to the adapter first. Something about the "fat end first". Even has a VOLT carto in the example. Anyway, if you were attaching the adapter to the battery first then to the atomizer try attaching to the atomizer first then to the battery.

But, then again, I've gotten bad adapters too!

Sitting down, facing forward.
If you're have a "flavor" problem, wash the carto used as a drip atomizer out thoroughly, maybe with baking soda and vinegar. If you do use the baking soda/vinegar be sure to use lots of clean water to flush it out. Then dry burn it until the coil is clear. Be careful to use short puffs or short bursts so that the coil does not get too hot and break. You can dry burn with an auto battery by putting the carto on and blowing, gently, into the LED end of the battery. To watch the coil just look in a mirror. I've done this many times with clearos and cartos I use for dripping. Just my opinion, worth what you're paying for it, your mileage and results may vary, no warrantee or guarantee is expressed or implied.
