adapters?

Any of you ever use an adapter? I have a TON of cleaned 808 cartomizers that I can reuse on my Provari (510) and all I have to get is a cheap little adapter. So how long do they last? And can you change out cartos with different flavors or should I use just one flavor for one adapter?

I use 901s and there are plenty of devices that are only available with 510 threading. Unless you really abuse it, an adapter pretty much lasts forever. I've never noticed them retaining flavor or anything like that. You just need one. You might get a couple extra because they are easy to lose.

The one time I did manage to destroy one I was trying to make the hole in the center bigger to fit over a protruding feed tube on a bottom feeder. Don't try that.

The adapter is an all metal piece that just converts the threading. It won't hold any flavor.

Here's a problem you will likely encounter though and a fix for it.

The adapter will sometimes get stuck onto the carto or the battery. You won't be able to twist it off. So, take the end of a rubber condom, apply it to the adapter. You will then have sufficient grip to take the adapter off.
