add menthol to alleviate throat irritation due to nicotine?

I noticed that high nicotine concentration tend to irritate the throat a bit. I added some menthol and the irritation went away. Now it feels smooth and mild, whereas it was a bit harsh before adding menthol.

Anyone else notice this or is it just me?

That's nice to know as I have a sister trying out vaping and having bad coughing spells. Did you smoke menthol? Does the mix have to be strong? How many ml's flavor?

Maybe the nicotine is too high? I would try cutting the nic back but that's just me.
It makes sense that menthol has a soothing sensation as it's an ingredient in nearly all cough drops.. However, I'm wondering if that's really solving the problem or just covering it up.

Hmmm...I have heard that menthol increases throat hit. But if it works for you. *shrugs*

I find this can be the case if its a real menthol, some mint flavours I find worsen it, I am a fan of menthol especially when I'm bunged up

I use menthol ( actual dissolved menthol ) to add TH, but I guess the cooling sensation would work.

Maybe you're getting too much throat hit because the type of atomizer you're using is producing vapor which is too hott.
