Hello to all, Just started vaping a week or so ago and I quit smoking cigarettes the first day without any issues at all. I've noticed though that nicotine is not my downfall as far as cravings go. I have the Blu starter pack and got a few flavors to start off with without nicotine. I thought the vanilla flavor was interesting so I did start off with that and the other flavors but, the analog cigarette cravings came hard when I was using the vanilla and the other flavors. The cravings completely stopped when I used the menthol flavored cartridge. I did smoke Marlboro Menthol Smooth's when I did smoke for about 10 years. Did any of you guys go through this as well?? Not craving the nicotine but just the fact that the menthol satisfied your urge to smoke analogs?? Thanks in advance....

I smoked menthol analogs for years, and was able to completely quit for about 6 months. Problem was that I always used smoking as a crutch, and after I lost my job due to a downsizing, I started up again. This time I smoked non-menthol though. I tried Blu about 3 years ago, and it just didn't work for me. I thought that their menthol flavor tasted like chewing gum. For me it wasn't the menthol (or non-menthol) that I craved, just the smoke itself. Also tried Eluma, but they didn't work so well either. Just started with an eGo-C twist, and I have to say that I'm very satisfied. I haven't craved an analog since I started using it.

I used to smoke Skylines towards the tail end of my analog 'career', and started on flavored vapes immediately since I was worried the menthol pre-fills would be too strong. Surprisingly, they weren't, and I still enjoy a menthol vape once in a while as the mood strikes, but I moved to various other flavors and haven't had any issues getting away from menthols yet..but we're all different, so if you happen to prefer a menthol flavor because that's what you're used to smoking, go for it. Some sites even have an option to add menthol to their pre-mixed flavors, or you can purchase menthol crystals or pre-mixed menthol/PG to doctor up any liquids you purchase elsewhere. I find a few drops does the trick in most cases, might be something to think about.

Lol, good to know I'm not the only one. But this vaping thing is great, I was a 4-6 cig-a-day smoker on and off for about 10 years. So since vaping I have noticed that my addiction to smoking was the hand-to-mouth motion of it (and the menthol I guess). It's weird too because sometimes at work when I had the "cravings", just the simple action of putting the e-cig in my mouth (not vaping at all) and just holding it like a cigarette helped my cravings go away. I'm 31 now and just got married three years ago and I know it was time to stop. My wife and I were high school sweethearts and have been dating since we were 17. We got school and everything else out the way career-wise before we got married in 2010. We're planning for kids soon so that was the main motivator for quitting cigarettes. But my wife & I did not try to quit in the past, we were pretty light smokers to begin with. I thought it was going to be hell when I got my starter kit in the mail and try to quit smoking analogs. But when my wife and I tried it for the first time, it was awesome. We threw our packs in the trash and did not look back ever since. We went really hard in because we did get the Blu starter kit without nicotine, and thought we were going to regret it. But after throwing away the real packs and just vaping full-time, we found out our addictions were not nicotine or the smoke but the weird fact of just holding the cigarette in our hands and just putting it to our mouths. Sorry for the long story, just wanted to get our first-hand experience with vaping...
