My wife and I were talking about how I started about 3 weeks ago and haven't had an analog in over a week now, and even then I only killed off a half pack I had left over right after I got my kit. Since then I have purchased a few more batteries and a ton of tanks/juice to try. I told her it was like smoking. Pokemon style.

So both I guess. Gotta try em all!

I agree on both. I am addicted and I have new hobby. I have been vaping for 50 days now and I haven't looked back. I started with the JoyE Passthrough and an MT3. Within a month, I already have a VAMO v2, Protanks, and an iClear30. I am already looking at modding my VAMO, Provaris, mech mods, and RBAs.

Congrats! Have you been off cigs completely?

I received my pro tank today. I didn't expect to get it until monday, so I'm totally psyched! Thanks vapor kings.
How much and where did you get the vamo? How do you like the pro tank so far?

When I first started vaping - I bought and tried many things - but after 6 months are so, I found the set-up that best suited me given the stare of current technology. Now, it is very rare I buy anything new, only when I come across something I believe might be a major improvement. So, it is not really much of a hobby, and though I am addicted to nicotine - i am addicted to e-cigs only as the healthiest and cheapest way of getting nicotine -

What set up are you using?

Do you get a throat hit using no nicotine?

I missed smoking but was smoke free for 4 years before I picked up vaping for the pleasure of it. I'm a 0 nic vaper, never hit the nic at all, and so it is I guess more of a hobby than an addiction. I got a SI Volt cigalike kit to start thinking I'd want to hold something similar to a cigarette, but it turns out it's all about the vapor and the inhaling/exhaling for me. I got a Lavatube with a vivi-nova and love it for the huge amount of vapor it puts out. Next will be, hopefully, a King Epipe, so I'm not sucking on a big round metal tube.

Anyway, in answer to your question, I do not think I get any throat hit unless I vape something with a lot of cinnamon in it, and still it is probably different.

I used to think I was addicted to the nicotine, but when my friend (unknown to me) switched me to 0 nic juice I realized its more of a psychological thing where I like focus better with the hand to mouth movements of smoking. And I also take vaping as a hobby because I enjoy all the different mods and things you can do.

After switching from smoking to vaping, I feel much less addicted to nicotine. But the hobby part has taken over. So many awesome devices out there. I've likely saved no money since stopping smoking, but that's fine. I just love this industry and I'm no longer smoking. That's all that matters to me. If I ever run through tough personal economic times, I'll be fine selling all my mods. I'd happily give up the hobby aspect of vaping and just stick to my vision spinner, a clearo, and some decent juice.

In conclusion, I would have say its a bit more hobby than addiction, being I can go out and most of the time and not even think of vaping. When I was smoking cigarettes, I don't think an hour would go by before I would start chewing at the lip for a fix. I spend a lot of time working on the computer, so I tend to vape like a feen for hours at a time and now the NBA playoffs....vape...vape...vape!

That being said, I do acknowledge that its also an addiction but not even close to being as intense as cigarettes. And I think if I had to I could stop with hardly any withdrawals after a week of abstinence. But I feel good, unlike smoking! It relaxes me, I eat less and enjoy it more than smoking. Smoking is the only legal drug I can think of that every time I lit up (unless drinking alcohol) I would think, "man I got to quit this sh**t" and how its destroying my health!

In my 1st post I mentioned I go through a ton juice using boges & mostly my smoketech tank. Yesterday I monitored my vaping and kept it down to about 7 - 8 mls, filling my newly acquired pro tank twice & hitting on the occasional boge. I am almost certain that one of the reasons for my heavy intake has something to do with the 3.5ml carto smoketech slim tank. Mind you I did vape a bit less yesterday without much effort.

Thanks for all the responses.

Has anyone else had this type of experience using smoketech or any other tanks?

I think it's both and I'm OK with it. I have no shame in my addiction to nicotine, but the nasty stuff that comes with it is what I don't like. On the other hand, I really like the hobby side of it. The fun in seeing, collecting and using the different kinds of devices doesn't seem any different from any other "collectable hobby". The nice thing is I can slowly lower the level of nicotine in my juice as I see fit. I have no doubt that if & when i get to the "0" level, I will continue to vape because I just enjoy it.
