So I've been mixing and playing mad scientist with my e juice. I've tried different mixes of vg and pg. I like about a 70/30 pg/vg. I want to add TH. I've tried everclear and other different boozes. None really give me and more TH. I've seen bottles of th additive, and they state there not pga. Any Idea what they are? I like the menthol th, but don't want it in my rasp vanilla cola, ya know?

I ordered Throat Hit Plus from The Vapor Pro, says to add 1-4% to your juice, and it should be coming in the mail today. I don't know whats in it or if it even adds any TH right now, but I'll know later today. I'll come back and post after I've tried it in some of my juices that I like the flavor of, but are lacking TH. I've only seen 3 reviews on this product, 2 said it works, 1 said it didn't, so we will see.

Oh, I forgot about it but a new product called Qhit by Flavourart is said to increase throat hit. Although I think Nikhil from PureVapes tried it and said that it was not worth it to buy because you would have to add too much to your juice to get a noticeable increase.

Fumo elettronico :: QHIT - Flavourart. La sartoria degli aromi

If I recall, ecigexpress is supposed to carry it soon.

Some people use capsaicin. I have some juice with it and it definitely adds throat hit. Too much, though, and it's unbearable. It's the same stuff that's in chili peppers.

Have you tried this Capsaicin? Sounds pretty cool. Where do you find it? I did a little searching and found a cream with 0.1% of it...guessing thats not it.

You can get Cayenne pepper extract at GNC or The Vitamin Shoppe. One has it in a PGA base, the other has it in a glycerin base. It works but you have to get it just right or...OUCH. I can tell when my carts start to run dry because that one dry hit makes my lungs catch on fire, even if there's not a whole lot in the juice. It's not pleasant.

I'm going to have to figure out what the commercial stuff is. I have a big problem with adding capsaicin. It has been known, when inhaled, not only to be an irritant but to randomly and acutely cause lung and throat spasms. You ether need epinephrine or albuterol to stop it. It's a small chance, but not one I'd be willing to take. Plus, one of my coworkers is deadly allergic to capsaicin. I'[d hate for her to climb into a truck after I was in it and her go into an anaphalatic reaction. So, I guess I'd better break out the chem set lol.

Okay I got the Throat Hit Plus from The Vapor Pro in the mail today. Here's my take on it: First of all, I used VaporRenu juice in butterscotch flavor, it is 100% PG, 24 mg nic, aggressive TH (but there is no TH and no vapor, either). I put 2 mL of that juice in a small dropper bottle and then added 4% (the website recommends adding 1-4% of Throat Hit Plus), which amounted to 0.08 mL. I placed about 15 drops of this concoction into a clean cartomizer. I then placed 15 drops of the butterscotch juice without the Throat Hit Plus into another clean cartomizer. I put each cartomizer onto a fully charged KR808-D1 battery and vaped from each of them. The result?? No difference AT ALL. I had to look at the cartos to see which one I had marked "TH" to tell which one I was vaping, absolutely no difference whatsoever.
I feel a little woozy from all the nic I've vaped in the past 30 minutes, but I wanted to be sure there was no difference, for the sake of research! LOL
So my search for good TH continues....and my frustration mounts! Live and learn, huh.

perhaps the price will eventually come down after covering R&D.

Way back in the dark ages of vaping (2009) a guy called Crand posted this:

Using an empty 30 mil bottle I'll fill it half way with vodka ant the other half with tabasco.
I'll then run it through a coffee filter into another 30 mil bottle.
The end result is a golden liquid that will make up about 15 to 20% to volume of my homemade liquids. I vape strictly 0 nic and this gives me a nice throat hit.

I'll add it adds a nice flavor too....

Tabasco? LOL seems like it would be an atty clogger. Atomizers hate me but I don't think I want to vape Tabasco, anyway. I don't much care for vaping cayenne extract either. But whatever works! I will say that cayenne extract doesn't alter the flavor at all, though. It doesn't seem have any flavor on its own besides HOT! I dipped a toothpick in it and touched my tongue. Whoo! I put about 4 drops in my juice and if I get juice in my mouth, I have to eat some crackers. lol Something tells me this can't be good for your lung tissue.

All it reminded me of was this really really really really really hot salsa a friend of mine got from Chinatown in NY. I dipped the very tip of a corner of a saltine in it and my mouth burned for 1/2 hour. And I like spicy food but that was toooooo much! My friend was eating Hot Salsa sandwiches--heaping it by the spoonful on her crackers. She must have an iron mouth.

/off topic. Sorry.

Wow. So, it's 99% PG and VG... and 1% *throat hit mystery juice from some sort of plant life*. LOL

Perhaps, the price will drop when other vendors carry it, like LR attys, et al. If it works, it's a major step in the right direction for TH sans nicotine.
