Yeah I haven't been able to start threads here for a long time. I start one in another appropriate section of ECF when I have a question or discussion topic but mostly hang here and answer questions.

hope to see you around

Why 70? Just a number the mods choose to keep this section's new threads for new member questions only

how come you cant start threads after 70 posts? does not make sense to me? i just started here tho so maybe I am missing something?

The new member subforum has rules none of the others do. 70 is an arbitrary number, but really, at some point you just aren't "new" and looking for getting-started support and very general information. After awhile you're more likely to have very specific questions, about hardware, say, or a particular vendor's products, which are more appropriate (and more quicky answered) in a dedicated subforum.

Vendors aren't allowed to post here at all; others can continue to reply indefinitely, but not start new threads.
