Adjustable Amp Cutoff

I'm sure many of you other Provari users have run into the 2.5 amp cutoff - with dual coil cartos, low res atty's or otherwise. Wouldn't it be great if we could adjust the amp cutoff limit, just like we can with voltage? Was the hard cap of 2.5 amps implemented to avoid dangerously over-stressing the battery? Is fact that the provari uses a booster chip a factor?

Correct me if I'm wrong somebody but u think 2.5 amps is or is nearing the limit of the booster.

If you do a light, okay a heavy google search on PWM/Booster circuits, you will notice that MOST actually have a 2 amp limit, and only the rare few good ones have a 2.5 amp limit. As a modder, I have googled my freakin brains out trying to find a booster circuit with a 3 amp limit that gives the voltage range we use, and they just aren't out there.
