So, Mr. D...

I am enjoying some Brown Bomber v2.0 on a 1.35mm air hole and a 1ohm driver of Mundy's Magic...

3 great creations coming to a head atop a Reo...

Life is "Grand"!

First: Great job pdib! That slider is not only super functional but looks awesome too. After using it for some time now, how is it holding up? Any tips on sizes of air hole? Once I perfect Magic wire, this is next on my reo bucket list.

Second: Why doesn't rob offer these as accessories? It's such a simple yet brilliant concept

Third: Damn you xobe... that white reo and drip tip are making my black/red very very lonely... I don't think I can fight the urge for a second reo for much longer, it's definitely going to be white w/ a black door... soon....

Well, it's (they're) holding up great. The brass one needs more cleaning (for looks) than the chrome. Some small amount of juice residue can collect between the layers; but a quick wipe every few days is no big deal. I do like them!

I never need a hole smaller than 1.3mm, and 1.5 was the biggest I'd ever gotten. So I drilled the atty out to 1.7mm, and turn the ring to it's open slit to free up that size.. Then I drilled 1.6, 1.5, 1.45, 1.4, 1.3mm holes. I don't really need the variations of .05mm, but I had room.

I don't think Rob has time to deal with this kina' stuff!

It's kinda silly; but I've grown very used to them real quick. I would be quite frustrated without them now. don't need it so much on my IGO-S; cause there isn't room in there for other than the one type setup that works with it. But on the RM2 there is simply so much room for crazy different kinds of builds.

Ever think of one that varied the height of the airhole as well? Or, is that just as easily accomplished by moving the coils? My idea was to have 3 different sizes and have each size have a low and a high hole... maybe overkill though.

And what about the air seal around the top and bottom of the ring, does it leak? enough to matter?

The air seal is excellent. I chose an initial diameter, material thickness, and band width that would be conducive to grabbing on tight. The air hole height option sounds cool. You could drill a top and bottom hole in the atty, and then just slide the ring up or down, or flip it over if the difference is pronounced. I did think of cutting a horizontal slit in the atty and then being able to position the air hole a little to the left or right, depending on build.

so, I've been mindlessly mulling over what else might work. I came up with this. Not pretty; but something many of us have around. It's inside diameter is substantially smaller than the RM2 OD, so it isn't airtight near the slit. Meaning, I'd only put about 3 different air holes in this, and I'd keep them in the 1/3 region that is opposite the slit.
