Advantages to Single Wire multi-coil?

I believe you are talking about the "sleeper" build where you install a micro coil, and build another one with the lead through the positive post...

If so, then the major advantage is a much better connection. Both coils will always heat up at the same time. Usually when building a dual coil with 2 different strand one will have a better connection than the other. One will heat up slightly faster than the other..

Not always. Personally I like single strand (sleeper if you prefer) because I can fit the large gauge wire I use. Two separate strands just wouldnt fit.

I have recently run in to a bit of a quandary with a quad sleeper. I recently got a CATs RDA clone and built a quad sleeper on it (per BT Vapes build video), and oddly the second coil on each side glows more slowly than the first... by a lot. The 2 & 4 coils, to be precise. All coils are the same size and all posts are good and tight. It reads .3ohm on my ohmmeter. I have tinkered with it a bit and can't seem to get it to do any different.

11 wraps 26ga kanthal.

Any thoughts or tips?
