Hi All,
I started vaping around 2 months ago. I went through the newbie mistakes: Blu Cig was quickly replaced with Green Smoke which was returned after determining I needed to do research to figure out what worked for me.
Some time spent on ECF and I decided I needed a Go-Go. I was blown away with how much of a difference the big battery made in my smoking habits: enough vapor to completely satisfy my nic cravings and never being forced to fiddle with batteries/carts mid-day. Analogs went in the trash and I haven't looked back.
I went through quite a few juices in that first month:
Vape the Rockies WJG - This juice has so much throat hit it convinced me I'd never need another analog. However, as I tried other juices I became less enamored with it's taste (slightly chemical cocoa overtones). An admirable juice but not a likely reorder.
VS Tampa - I have a love/hate relationship with this juice. I love the taste/smell and find myself opening the bottle just to get a whiff. When it works it works great: doesn't draw attention to itself and completely satisfies. However, it also seems to have a habit of throwing my taste buds out of wack and becoming metallic. Even though it's been temperamental, I'll likely keep the juice around because of it's mystery.
Halo Torque - This juice performs. Same taste and hit every time - completely hits the mark. However, I end up feeling a little guilty vaping this because of the slight chemical overtones. It sort of makes my brain wonder if it's too-good-to-be-true, like if I decided to self-medicate with ..... Once again, I'll keep it around because of the mystery.
I also ordered flavor samplers from Mister-E-Liquid and Velvet Vapors which were all nice juices but not likely re-orders. I reserve the right to retract this statement if I start missing Mister-E's smooth and satisfying 1963 and English Meadow.
I also ordered some other juices that are raved about on the forums: Ave Juice, W2V, and VapeRite. I dripped these in my Go-Go cartomizer and wondered what the big deal was. A bit of research made me wonder if they were too thick to wick properly, and I ripped out the filling in one of my cartos and dripped some W2V Acid Blondie down. WOW. So this is what vaping is.
This sent me back to ECF to determine what the best possible portable vaping experience was out there. I ended up the proud owner of a Reo Mini and am ecstatic with it. One fact that isn't discussed very often on the forums is how bulky the Reo's are - I'm very happy I went with the mini. I carry an extra 14500 battery on my keychain with a pill capsule: I prefer this to having another 2 square inches of aluminum in my pocket all day with the Grand.
As far as what you need in addition to the Mini: get your AW 14500 IWR batteries, charger, and a drip tip from Super T Manufacturing. Get some Cisco 510 LR attys and Boge 510 LR cartos from Avid Vaper. Don't cheap out on the protected 14500s: they don't produce enough current to run a LR atty/carto. For other newbies out there: if it sounds complicated, it is, but trust me you'll thank me later.
Direct dripping (or squonking) on an atty and these juices really open up:
Ave Juice Chai - this juice performed admirably in my cartos but it's just superb on an atty. Mounds and mounds of extremely tasty vapor. I'm waiting on Boba's Bounty and Gorilla Juice restock and I'm sure I'll love them just as much.
W2V Red Pirate and Acid Blondie - these are tasty and HIGHLY complex in relation to the juices I was loving on my cartos. My brain interprets these juices as if I were actually smoking, which I cannot say for any of the above. However, I was never a cigar smoker and I'm not sure they will go on reorder because of...
VapeRite Perique, VR4, and Rou's Hazelnut - pure bliss. Give any analog smoker a vape of VapeRite Perique on a Cisco LR atty and they should instantly question what they are doing with their life. Vaping these juices in terms of complexity, flavor, body, and satisfaction is simply better than actually smoking. I am so happy with these, my only complaint is that I couldn't have found a cheaper juice to get hooked on.
It is worth noting that the juices I did enjoy in a carto (Vapor Station and Halo) don't hold up particularly well direct dripped on an atty. That's why I noted to order a few Boge cartos!
I don't think I could make my daily routine any more enjoyable - although I am eager to hear any comments! In summary, I see myself vaping over the next few months:
1) VapeRite's Perique, Rou's Hazelnut, and VR4 on a Cisco LR atty
2) Ave Juice's Boba's Bounty, Gorilla Juice, and Chai on a Cisco LR atty
3) More samplings of Halo's lines on a Boge LR carto
4) More samplings of Vapor Station's lines on a Boge LR carto
Thanks to everyone in the forum for all of the great advice and reviews, I couldn't have done it without you!
