....the concern is that ads for e-cigarettes could trigger cravings in former smokers for real cigarettes. Once that desire has been activated, all one can do is try to fight it by using strategies like distraction or suppressing the urge. But instead of relying on people’s (highly fallible) self control, we could instead help prevent this craving by restricting the advertising.

Heaven forbid nanny should expect any of us to exercise self-control...
