Gotcha. I found Capella's flavorings to be thicker than PA, and stronger. Both vendors sell primarily PG-based flavors, with a few exceptions, so I am assuming that Capella's are higher concentration, and the flavor compounds themselves make them thicker. All my DIYs are VG-based, with the only PG being that in the flavor itself, so I have to thin mine a little (10% water, or total water% + flavor% = 20%), but it looks like this will not be necessary for you if you are using mostly PG.
I don't use it, but many here find a little bit of PGA or vodka can be used for thinning, too. It opens the flavors up more, and even a few drops can make a difference. But it tends to dry me out, and that is why I don't use PG too.
One thing I found about Capella's: they tend to make me cough. More so than PA, for whatever reason. So another reason I am
vaping mostly ~5% flavor, or even less. I prefer just a hint of flavor now to lots of flavor and coughing. The Capella flavor that really got me hacking was Chocolate Toffee...very unfortunate, but I simply cannot vape it without going into a fit. I do like their Pralines and Cream, which is very different than Lorann's P&C. Capella's reminds me more of a coated popcorn, while Lorann's is more like a dark nut/caramel. Both are great, but very different. The Double Chocolate is another excellent one, and I think they have more different chocolates now, if you like that. The Dbl Choc with their Toasted Almond is a fantastic vape, like a Hershey's Almond bar.
Good luck with the DIY!
