Advice for my wife considering switch to vaping

Hi (my second post so apologies).

My wife has been a long time smoker, and given the massive rise of taxes on cigarettes is considering vaping. The problem is that she prefers a petite ecig and I am a little confused as to where to start.
She started (and gave up on the old 510 some time ago) so something along the lines of the same form factor would be good. I also think she would be keen on an ecig with a manual switch rather than the automatic ones.

Personally, I have been vaping for a few years and use the eJoy One (I think it is) but the size is too big for her.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks
Grant

vv3 from Innokin. Super efficient on the batteries. Small form factor.
Charges with micro USB and will work as a pass through.
Whole starting kit is $37.00 http://www.myvaporstore.com/Innokin-iTaste-VV-V3-0-Starter-Kit-p/ink-vv3-k.htm
or $29.95 for just the stick. It's a quality product. I used to use one and liked it alot.

The 800mah is misleading. Innokin is very efficient on the batteries. This 800mah unit will outlast the 1000+ ego style units.

I used the Joytech eRoll for awhile, its literally cigarette size, but the battery life is disappointing ...

Upgraded to the Ovale Elips-C, and its still my PV for daily use when out and about, for over two years now. The Elips is light and compact, perfect for stealth vaping, and each kit has lasted for about a year of daily use before the batteries gets too weak to hold a charge ...

Its not cheap at $59.99 for the starter kit and $29.99 for the PCC, but compared to what I spent on analogs, its a bargain. The Elips is a quality product, and stylish enough to appeal to women ...

When I started vaping, even an Ego style was too big to feel comfortable for me in public. Its like the juice you buy and then find its not appealing enough, it sits on the shelf ...

I'm always looking for something better, but I recently bought two more Elips kits in reserve, when Ovale briefly marked them down to $25 for the kit ...

Beware of lower prices for the Elips, there is a first generation Elips model still available in places, but it uses a different and more expensive atomizer, hard to find replacements. The Elips-C uses the Joytech Type A atomizer, cheap and easy to clean and rebuild with stainless steel wicks. They last for months with mesh wicking ...

If your wife is more comfortable with a mini-PV that is about analog size and weight, and cool looking as well, the Elips might be a good choice for her ... :D

I think many people want (or at least think they will want) the closest possible thing to an analog to quit. I know i did. So i started with cig a likes, thought i only wanted tobacco liquid that tasted like an analog, etc.

Problem is, you need to replicate the hit/satisfaction of an analog, not the look, feel, and taste. IMO, you cannot do that without getting a solid mod with some power (which you are never going to find in a size she wants now). Get her an Istick 60W (still pretty small as far as current mods go) kit with a nice tank, and some sample packs of juice.

She probably will not love it right out of the box and quit analogs the next day, but just keep it around for her. Maybe see if she will compromise if she doesn't like it by using it at home/night, and still smoking analogs the rest of the time.

I think she is more likely to eventually come around and switch to vaping using something too big/ugly/not used to that will be able to give her the nicotine, heat, and throat hit of an analog, as opposed to something small that does not satisfy her cravings, but feels better in her hand.

I quit using a EGO1100 battery and Kanger Protank........... That's fixed battery voltage and 2ohms.
My wife is quitting using the same protank and an Eleaf Istick mini , the little vv mod) from Fastech. Now she does want a bit more so I will get her either a Nautilus tank or one of my Kayfun tanks. The little mod is just fine, she will need no more power than that for a long time. She likes my Sat22 tank, but a Geni is a bit fiddly for her to deal with and I don't think a Geni or dripper will play well with all the other crap in her purse.

Welcome to ECF!

Although there are many vaping enthusiasts here, most smokers actually use simple smaller Ego and Evod setups to make the switch and continue to use them for a very long time. My wife has a bigger mod she uses at home, but continues to carry a smaller Ego or Evod everywhere else. She likes the portability and convenience and they still get her through the day after 4 1/2 years of vaping.

Here's a couple options that are pretty inexpensive and use replaceable heads that are readily available -

Evod basic kit with charger and one battery - https://www.myfreedomsmokes.com/evo...tage-blister-pack-cheap-ecig-starter-kit.html

Evod/Ego basic kit with two batteries, three heads and even smaller in size - https://www.valuevapor.com/clearance/starter-kits/l-rider-450-mini-ego-evod-kit.html

For a smoker, it's about a comfortable transition more than the equipment performance, and a simple start may just work for her. Too many features to start out can intimidate and frustrate someone who just wants a smoking substitute. Good luck!

Grant,

If you are interested and live in the states I have a couple spinners I can send your way that look like this:

I gave away the tanks so you would have to pick a couple up but I would also send a USB charging cord.

Shoot me a message if you would like me to send you two.

OK, so this is going really old school. Over 3 years ago my wife and I began our vaping journey with Volts from SmokelessImage. The thing that helped keep my wife interested was all of the colors. She could even get gemstone endcaps. Something about matching her e-cigs to her purse, shoes, jewelry...you know...accessorizing. I was good with basic black or silver, of course.

BTW, I think you mean the Ego One as the one you use. If that is the case, you would likely have to go to a cig-sized or perhaps a regular ecig to get smaller than the Ego One.

Thanks for the many responses. I ran off and ordered the vv3 from Innokin when I saw the first post thinking we would give that a try. So far so good although she initially felt it was a little long (but is now coming around to it. If this does not end up working out I will start checking out the other suggestions.

Yes Grimwald it was as the Ego One (got it wrong in the post) and thanks for the offer Marc411 (we are in Aussie).
