Hi all,

I'm due to start a new job in a couple of weeks which I'm very excited about after being made redundant from my last job. I'm not 100% sure yet, but a quick search has shown that SOME of my new employer's sites have policies to be the same as that of the smokers i.e. only permitted outdoors in designated areas.

Basically, I'll be on my feet a lot of the day and I want to keep my device on a lanyard down my top. I don't particularly want to keep walking across the building to my bag to get my kit for breaks when I could spend that time vaping. I currently have an ego 650mah battery with a CE5 clearo. I'm worried that this battery will not last me an 11 hour day, even if I'm restricted to vaping on breaks and lunch. And also I don't want some huge thing swaying around there under my top looking like an abnormal piece of anatomy:laugh:

Is there anyone else in a similar position who can recommend a good battery that will last the day and is pretty discreet on a lanyard?

Mist you may not be able to vape in your workplace but is there a place where you can plug your USB charger in? A 30-60 minute mid-dayish shot of charge ought to be all you need to make it through your shift. If not then a 900 mah eGo is not really all that much bigger. Worst case you could just keep a charged spare in your bag to grab at lunch.

If you're just vaping on break then it should last you the day. You can always keep another one in your purse for backup or if it dies on the ride home from work. I take a 1300mah spinner to school and it's never run dead halfway through the day, but i have a dinky 650 in a pocket in my purse just in case.

Ego c twist 1000 mah same batt as u have now but longer and it has vv i charge mine every 2 days

On a lanyard down a person's top? With a clearo that's about 7 inches.

ETA: And top heavy (I've tried), it's hard to keep it from flipping.

Thanks for all the advice, guys. :)

Paul Maul - I know I'll be at a computer some part of the day, I just don't know how often I'll be based at that particular station as I'll be called off as and when needed, sometimes for hours until I can get back.

The Ocelot - I'll look into this! The dress-code is such where due to wardrobe rotation, some days I won't have pockets handy lol :( until I steadily buy all my clothing that has pockets.

I guess I'll purchase a better battery and keep the 650 as a backup in my bag. I really don't want to be caught out in my first few days.

From what I read, the Joyetech eRoll seems to be popular with people who work and can only vape a little bit, here and there, in 20 minute increments.

They are cig-a-like size, and you put them in a pretty Iphone-looking case to charge. They have tanks you fill up in the morning, you charge the PCC case and then the PCC case charges the little cigalikes the rest of the day for you.

I'm an advanced ecig user and have thought about getting one for errands, airports, conferences, etc. They are very attractive and discreet, and the PCC case is small and fits into pocket

I have the eroll and use it for just about exactly what you're talking about. Works well for me. I fill about 10 of the little tanks and stow them in a small pill bottle in a pocket. I also use a stronger nic % (my usual is 2.4% but I up it to 3.6% in the eroll) so fewer puffs needed to get a quick nic fix. I use it mostly when I go out for dinner or drinks as a very discreet little package with a surprisingly good vape for its tiny size.
