Hi folks,
I'd like to know if anyone has had any success in contacting sigelei, as the only contact details on their website are their Chinese HQ address, tel & fax; a US Warranty Centre address in Ontario?, tel & e.mail, and their partners in USA, Canada and France.

I bought a new sigelei Mini Book 40W in May, which died after dropping from my breast pocket onto a tabletop. I've tried a new battery, five clicks to start and every combination of button pushing, which produces only a blank screen.

I know it's daft and I should have known better, but I've given mods worse clatters before without this disastrous result. I'm not sure what is most frustrating, the broken mod or being unable to contact what I'd taken to be a reputable company.

I'll try the US Warranty Centre e.mail again, but not too hopeful of getting a reply.

I've never had to contact Sigelei so I'm not 100% sure, but their website looks like it uses Skype or some form of chat.

Have you tried their website?

Thanks for your replies, Bonskibon,Tommi-Chi and ScandaLex.

I purchased from VapeInc, who I've had great service from in the past, but fair do's in that their personal 30 day warranty period has passed and their only advice was to contact the manufacturer. The guy did say he'd get back to me if he has any further advice.

Yes, Sigelei's website has a Skype facility which I did try, but if the contacts are in China, then I may have been trying to contact them in the early hours a.m.
I'll try again... but there was also the uncertainty of whether these were Sigelei contacts or consumers and, most of the moniker/avatars being pretty young ladies, there's always the reluctance of appearing to be an old man chancing my arm.

I'll try Skype again.

Thanks again for your help,

Bill.

Just a quick update for any who have looked in here.

I emailed the only address on Sigelei's website, USA Warranties... in Canada? They did write back eventually to say my nearest warranty centre is in France, along with an email address, which hasn't even bothered replying.

It appears the bottom line from Sigelei is that they're not remotely interested in customer or after sales services.

If you want confirmation of this, try looking into their Facebook page, because if I had checked some of the dissatisfied, angry voices on Facebook, I'd never have bought a single one of their products.

It really sucks hearing stories like these but it does help others who are contemplating buying one of their products. At this point @Bill Linton I would take the device apart and check for a simple disconnected wire from the fall. Can't make it worse but definitely will void any warranty. Good Luck!

Hi Steve, and thanks for the advice.

I've already made a cursory check, unscrewing the positive terminal cover and removing the battery casing, which gives access to the gubbins. There are no loose wires that I could see and that's as far as my expertise will take me, as they still burn electricians at the stake where I'm from.

Seriously, an old mate of mine is head of tech maintenance at the local high school and another worked the long way round from leaving school at 15 and joining the Army, to becoming top-dog engineer in Scotland's largest oil refinery [now that's a story to tell his grandkids]. Both are better suited than I for prodding at intricacies.

But if you ever need a 10,000 ft deep hole dug in your back garden, then I'm your man!

Cheers mate, and thanks again,

Billy.
