Newb with RBAs, that is. Never really had an urge to try the rba route, but am thinking that I may be scoring a Bogger Box soon (I hope!) and would like to at least get my feet wet. Be prepared just in case...you know...the hammer should fall.

Anyway...I will ONLY be using the rba on a bottom feeder. Therefore, I need one that has an open 510 threaded (or compatible) connector. The one I keep seeing as being good for BFs is the A7. I'm agreeable with that, but wondered if there was anything else that would work THAT DOES NOT REQUIRE MODDING! No drilling holes, no fancy O ring work for me, thank you! How is the A7 for performance? I do not like a very warm vape...and I like to use 2ohm with a basic 3.7 volts. I wonder if the A7 leaks? Do you have to keep it upright all the time when on a bottom feeder? Can you power vape...frequent, long hits? I do NOT like to have to pull really hard to get a vape (the Cisco spec ones on my Vmod are AWFUL! I nearly pass out trying to pull hard enough to get a hit!) I.prefer a long easy pull. Not too airy, please, either. (don't want much do I!?) I really like using the Vapage pro spec slant coil atomizer (2ohm) on my Vmod if that gives you any idea of what I'm hoping for with the RBA.

Being new with this...and still puzzling over lots of YouTube vids...I'm thinking maybe to start I could try using a prewrapped gizmo like this? 20" Roll - Coil & Wick for A7 RA Figured that'd give me an idea how it's supposed to look and stuff. What d'ya think?

Hey. So I haven't tried the A7 (on my REO) because, from what I've read, its not that great, and people have problems with hard short circuits. The positive connection (at it's base), I've read, is loosey goosey and things touch that really shouldn't. Basically, completing a direct circuit on the battery and melting springs, or if you don't have a spring under your battery, creating a dangerous situation.

The "Reomizer 2" is an excellent RBA. The others I've tried, I had to drill out the center post for juice flow. IGO-S and Phoenix Bully.

Also, if you search the REOS MODS sub-forum, there is a thread listing atomizers for BF on the REO. Here it is . . . http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/377836-reo-compatible-rbas.html

What size is the catch cup on your device?

The A7 is ok if you like to tinker. You have to be careful as the others have said. A multimeter is definitely needed if you choose to go this route as it will eventually get a short.

The reomizer 2 is great. hornets/eras are good too. Some have luck with killer 705, if you want to use non resistance wire...same goes for the mcARB. Head over to the REO sub-forum, there is a wealth of info about the topic

Good luck with what ever you choose!

I had decent results with the A7, liked it cause it holds a lot of juice, but I stopped using it cause I hated how long it was. But that center pin is very risking to use as is. With it unscrewed to the proper length in my mod it was very loose.

Easy fix, just figure out how much length you need & install an appropiate sized spacer, washer, oring, etc. I used a washer then machined it down so it wouldn't short on the base. You can easily do the same thing using a file or Dremel.
