I recently received a vamo v2. I've had it for and been using it for roughly a week. It stopped working. It reads 0.0ohms on anything I use. It still adjusts voltage +-,wattage+-,battery watts/volts,but reads all coils as 0.0 and won't "fire". Know a place to get it Repaiared??? I cannot return the item. It was a gift from a long distance relative.

You may want to check the 510 connection on either the Vamo or the toppers you are using. Most likely it is not making contact. You may have screwed on one of your toppers too hard, and pushed down the contact. See if there is a way for you to raise it back up on the Vamo, or make sure the 510 connections on your toppers stick out a little.

I don't own a Vamo, so I can't be much more help than that.

I don't have one so I'm not the best person to help you. There might be a simple solution. But once you get one more post in you can go to the Vamo forum here and those guys know these PV's. Best of luck with it!

You've ( or other people have) tightened devices down too hard. That metal circle in the middle of the connection is a positive...see that rubber gasket underneath? That insulates the pos. from neg. Over tightening will crimp that rubber good enough to read a short. Pick that pin up any way you can, and only tighten so as to achieve connectivity.

Hi again Puffymore. Sorry you're having this issue - but it is widespread and the good news is you should be able to fix it yourself.

First, try just prying up the center pin slightly. Get a screwdriver in there and gently pry up (really, really gently) then move thru about 90 degrees and pry again. Keep going around and then try it again. If it works, great. If not, then the washer has perished under the head and will need to be replaced.

So the good news there are there are DIY fixes.

If you feel comfortable, you can do it yourself.



You don't have to use a gasket from another battery - others will fit.

I'm very careful with my Vamo. The gasket was already chewed up a little when I got it and I only found out later there might be a potential problem. I don't use the Vamo that much. I don't like having to baby mods.

Yes I have heard that....some people recommend the 510 adapter to help with that, also heard not to tighten clearo too tight, but that's probably good advice with any device. I have also heard that if you drop it on your toes, you might break your toe.

That 510 to EGO is necessary, as the native ego is too tight. Also, that is what leads to the threads going as well, for the 510-ego adapters are harder metal. I imbibe from time to time, and it HAS hit the floor.

This is why I use a mechanical. So much better!
