Advice: Searching the Little Words

Somebody mentioned the limitation in the Forum search engine that makes it impossible to search on 3-letter words (e.g., "RY4"). I think this is designed in as a bandwidth saver.

Work-around? Go to Google and hit Advanced Search. Use the provided blanks for your search words and phrases, and then in the blank for "Search within a site or domain," enter "site:http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com" (without the quotes). Or, in the regular Google search box, put your search in followed by "site:http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com" (again, without the quotes).

Thanks for that, Paul - we do also have a google search box at the bottom left of every page. Searching using this automatically does the site: search.

I think that's a good idea SJ, I'm always forgetting about the Google search bar, since I rarely scroll down the page to the bottom.

I live by that Google search bar... and try to pass that knowledge around as much as possible.. about the search bar I mean, not me living by it

I so know what you mean and I pretty much have to remember for two people.

And I use the google search a lot.
