Hello

i bought ego ce5 with 650mah battery 10 day ago for quit smoke . but last two days battery holds charge only 7-8 min vape time . it doesnt matter how long i charge it never green light show up . so i decide to buy mechanical mod, and use it with sony vtc5. my main goal is long battery life. i want to vape about 2 ml juice in a day, without change battery or charge it again in middle of day. i dont want huge clouds just want normal smoke feel. i did some research but i dont get watts volts ohms much . my questions is;

1.with that battery is 2.0 or 2.4 ohm coils make any problem?
2.510 to ego adepter convertor is make any problem with that mod or should i buy new 510 thread clearomizer?
3.for sony vtc5 is TrustFire TR002 Lithium Battery Charger correct one?
4.is this setup right for my purpose(long battery life) ?
5.do i need kick?

For mechanical i would choose nemesis, stingray or similar silver plated, fully adjustable mech. Then kayfun lite+ v2 and some organic cotton and 28awg kanthal a1.

1. Mechs are usable up to 1.5ohm without kick module. Over 1.5ohm they dont provide enough power. Simple as that.
2. Kayfun lite+ v2, lots of youtube videos for coil build
3. I dont know about the charger, but i would get a nitecore d4 or d2. Will last a long time and you can charge any type of battery on it.
4&5. Yes, buy a kick clone 15W model, because on single coil atomizers you cant make good coil with resistance under 1 ohm. You can make 1 ohm coil with 26 awg, but its gonna be big and that means slow heating up. Perfect combo is about 5-7 wraps with appropriate awg (thickness) for the resistance that you want.

On my kayfun i make 1.5ohm coil on 3mm drill bit with 5 wraps of kanthal 28awg. Some make smaller 2mm or 2.4mm coil with 1 or 2 wraps more to get to the same resistance. You dont want too much or too little wraps.

Thinner the wire - less space for electrons, more resistance! Longer the wire - more wraps/larger diameter means also more resistance.

For rta (kayfun, aqua, russian, squape, fogger...) is 27-29 awg best, for rda is 22-26 awg best. For really small coils like in protank heads i used 30-31 awg.

Hello, something's definitely wrong with your ego or charger, can you get them replaced under warranty?

1. Those coils are no problem.
2. The adapter is ok, many people use them, including me sometimes.
3. It'll work. Not the best charger out there, but should do. I don't personally have experience with it, if I could afford to, I'd get something a bit better.
4. It should do fine, but I will say it would be best to get a second battery. You can't vape when battery is charging.
5. A Kick is good to have, it has some safety built into it, and allows you to get a consistent vape for the charge life of the battery. Whether you need it or not is up to you, without it your battery will start out at 4.2 volts, then drop in voltage as it's power is depleted, performance will drop also. With a kick you set the wattage and the performance stays the same untill the battery power is to low, then the kick shuts down till a fresh battery is installed. If you start vaping without a kick you can figure the wattage you like to vape at, then if you want a kick you can decide which one to get that will suit your needs.

Exactly. :)

Better charger also means safer charging and longer life of battery cells. Very important is also that you have an ohmmeter to check the resistance after build the coil. Omni tester by smok is good, because you can also check voltage drop of the battery to see how good it conduct electricity. Many mechs are good and have low voltage drop, but only few are great, that means 0.15V-0.05!

I vape on my mech at 2.0ohms pretty much all the time. At that power, yea... your battery should last all day and then some if you're only going through 2ml. A kick is a good idea... but even better would be to get a protected battery. With unprotected batteries, you run the risk of draining them too low. That damages the battery and it could either stop working or it could catch fire. Protected batteries will just stop working before it's too drained. A kick will do the same, but you need to make sure you get a mod that will fit it. Also, definitely get two batteries, so you can have one to use while the other is charging.
The adapter won't be a problem. At some point you may want to upgrade your atomizer, but that's also super complicated because there's so many choices. ;)
Try and get a replacement for your defective ego even if you get the mech mod. That way you'll have a backup. Backups are important because you never know what will go wrong.
Congratulations on quitting smoking!

Protected batteries are good for vv/vw mods like svd, vamo, legend, evic... because of the circuit board inside ans also for flashlights. I dont think that there are any protected IMR high drain batteries. Simply because of the new cells with safer chemistry (Li-mn) and normal working order continuously at high current. I dont even think that kick would work with protected standard li-ion (Li-Fe).

Thank you people it was a fast responds.

Thanks, you too! and yes i will try.

After 3 or 4 months later i also want a quit e cig too so i dont want spend much for setup . i checked fastteck and find this thinks ;

A6, Stainless Steel + Chromed Brass A6 Mini Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer

Launcher V2 Telescopic Mechanical Mod

Pre-made Wires and Wicks for Atomizer (50-Pack) for my ce5

2.0ohm, 33 AWG, 4-Wick: 50-Pack Pre-made Wires and Wicks for Atomizer (50-Pack)

510 to eGo Adapter Convertor for E-Cigarette

1.Do you guys think this wires correct?

2.Atomizer and mod good for price ?

3.how long your hand made wires last. day, week?

4.organic cotton taste is better ?

if i cant drop e cig after 4 month. i want to make wires my self too. so for a6 mini, on 3mm how many wrap should i do and what type wire, any idea?

Stay away from chromed brass atomizers ;) There are much better atomizers... Dont be cheap on clones heheh

Do you want single or dual coil? Rda are mostly dual coils. I recommend Magma for 15$, 1:1 clone on FT. It has slightly longer 510 pin, but no problems on stingray. One of the best rda at the moment! Ce5 is junk, i wouldnt get replacement heads for that...

Didnt tried launcher but there are many much better mechanical mods out there...

Wire can last a month or even more, you just change cotton once a week. Organic because its "safe" - its not bleached and chemically threatened.
