Provari with kayfun and kayfun ring:

If you go with the Provari, you may want to stick with the satin version; they do not rough up the surface for the cerakote on the colored ones and as a result the colors do not adhere well and chip easily. When cerakote is applied correctly it is very durable, when it is applied to a surface which is very smooth it does havce anything to grab onto and durability of the coating sufers.

Not wanting an argument as this is only my opinion.

I would not advise jumping to a mechanical until you are very experienced, go for something with more protection.
Your gonna get everybodies fav on this question. Some will suit and some are not suitable.
OK :- I have a Provari and a few other mods, If i had gone straight to a Provari i would have saved enough money to buy 2 more instead of the other makes i have "collected". In other words, you can spend a small fortune on gear, go with what your heart desires, do your research (sounds like you have).

Im not saying go with Provari, but you will most probably end up with one in the long run.

Although I have never held a provari, I have heard they feel solid. But that's not to say my eVic doesn't. It's just lighter. And I don't use all of the stuff that the eVic offers but I do like some if it. V.V./V.W. Battery % etc. and I have dropped it and the only thing that happened is that it turned itself off.

I hear what you are saying; being a tinkerer and scientist I am much more experienced than my 11 months of vaping would normally have me at. That being said I wish I would have gotten a high end mechanical first as I like vaping at 15 watts or higher which is at or beyond the limit of what the provari can do. I'm not sure it will like always being used at 15 watts. Only time will tell. I got my Provari before I knew what a mechanical was. Since then I have done insane amounts of research, learning and hands on atomizer building. Of course with a mechanical one has to be aware of safety but using 2 ohm cartos on a mech, which the OP is looking to do, is quite safe. I use a multi-meter for all my builds and make sure I have no shorts before I fire anything up.

Thanks for the post :)
This is what I like to read...I figure getting a Provari now will allow me to skip a lot of other mods (and money). I'm sure I'll eventually get into mechanicals in the distant future when I'm better educated and get the itch to turn a replacement into a full-fledged hobby

The Provari is a wise choice, I'm sure you'll love it.

Be careful with that itch, it can bite you and drain your funds before you know it! Trust me. ;)

Have fun with your new mod! :vapor:
