Aegis series check!!! Which one is your favorite?? Tell me about it!
Thanks, I did some digging, and found some.It uses the G-coil mesh coils. A lot of different vendors carry them.
I got it to work well on the aegis sq, with SS wire. The default tcr of 105 works well for most of my coils with the watts set to slightly above the norm for wattage vaping.I really want to like my aegis mini but I just can’t get TC to work properly. I’m using SS16L coils and the TC setting of 105 barely gives me any vapor, and limits my watts to about 10... I’ve reached out to customer support on the website but they have taken over 2 weeks to tell me about the resistance/ft of some random spool of wire and the appropriate temperatures to vape at, instead of answering my TCR question.
Yep, geekvape brand, Vandy vape brand, and some generic chinese stuff tooFor 316L wire?

What do you set your wattage to?
I’m using a .7ohm 2.5mm ID 28 ga coil at 20 watts. (Master Wire Supply from Amazon, but I’ve tried VV premade superfine MTL claptons, too)
I bumped it up to a TCR of 115 and it’s finally hitting the 20 watts, but it seems like anywhere above 110 TCR (which is the only way to get good flavor at about 460F) my cotton and coil end up pretty black after a 2ml tank of juice...
That's a REALLY high temp, I usually don't go over 420, and can get burnt hit taste from that with a dry wick... Have you tried upping the wattage with a lower tcr? Also, what's your wicking material? It may not be able to keep the juice on the coil at that temp. I have used only rayon for some time now.
That should wick just fine, as I use 70/30, so with a 55w 2.5id coil, rayon is a must... Sounds like the TCR is the issue, somewhere in-between 105 and 115 isn't working as a middle ground?I’m using 50/50 salt nic on organic cotton, seems to wick fine. That’s why I’m thinking it’s the TCR, because I feel like my temp shouldn’t need to be this high to get a good vape. I’m at 105 right now at 420F, 30 watts. I fire - it starts at 13 watts, goes down and hovers around 7-8
