I don't care what's popular. I use what works and sell off what doesn't. One got basically thrown across the deck the other day into the side of the garage while I was working and of course it was fine. Another dropped to the pavement from chest height while getting into my car, it landed square on the DT (DT got chipped), it was fine. They've been knocked off the kitchen counter or accidentally tossed a few times. One tumbled down a hill when I was hiking. I'm not worried about abusing them because they're tough. I bought 6 spare bubble glass but haven't broken any in almost a year so the spares are probably unnecessary. Better to have and not need etc...

Update your software to get double the battery life. Instant fire too, no delay.

Decent pocket-carry mod but I used to pocket-carry my RX200 so YMMV

when I first got it it was bulky but comfy in the hand....
but yeah
1. it takes a beating and keeps on ticking
2. it's comfortable in the hand
3. the fire button is nice
4. dual battery
5. somewhat waterproof
6. decent price and can find it on sale

I just purchased my third aegis legend, i like them because i live in florida where its wet and i know if it gets wet it wont fail.

I did however have one that had many many drops and when i would hit the fire button it would make a buzzing sound so..

But still worth it

You need to do the update, you are probably with the original firmware which DOES drain the battery like a sieve. It was so bad, that the folks on the legend thread finally talked me into my first update. It probably tripled battery life. Go to thread for instructions I got it done my first try. LOL.
