Here is a article with a lot of info there on vaping. I prefer the throat hit more myself. Decrease the airflow: Less airflow means a more concentrated, hotter vape, and that translates into a punchier throat hit. Presently vaping 12mg and have my airflow half and wattage at 20-23W this morning still a good hit so far for me, Not to harsh, Waiting on 6mg to get here to keep testing on it though.

I tried many tobaccos and hated all of them except a blueberry tobacco, but got sick of that after a month. But then I tried cinnamon and stuck with that for a while until it started getting non my serves for whatever reason.

Tried RY4 (a sweet dessert tobacco) and liked it.

Eventually, I found heartlandvapes, got a bunch of different juices. One of the juices was peppermint, and that has been my all day vape pretty much ever since with RY4 once in a while. I've probably been vaping peppermint for 5 years now. I was never a menthol smoker so was shocked that I ended up preferring peppermint.

Recently I decided to try making my own black licorice and I really like that, too. So now I vape both peppermint and black licorice as my all day vapes with RY4 every once in a while.

RY4 is rather sweet and semi dark so it kills coils fast. But the peppermint and licorice are clear and semi-sweet so coils last a long time. In a factory coil, about 20-30 days. RY4 is only about a week, though.

If you use factory coils instead of rebuildable tanks, getting to like clear juices that aren't too sweet will save you money on coil heads.

peppermint and black licorice <- Are you serious yuck. I am allergic to peppermint myself. Yeah I also wont do the menthol either, Just isn't for me. Wonder if they make Mountain Dew flavor, Not that I can do since that is the only cola I drink and all the time too. U have never been one who has ever ate candy so as for flavors I have no clue to what is to sweet and I surely do not want something way to sweet, I do like butter pecan ice cream though. I still want a decent throat hit too.

Mountain Dew was one of those OG flavors everyone was hot for. Same with Swedish Fish.

I went from full flavor cigs to Boba's Bounty right away. It is sweet. Now, I mostly vape Hangsen USA Red Mix I make myself.

My side vapes are mostly desserts, cereal, breakfast, and assorted fruits I mix with tobacco flavors.

If it smells like dirty socks might wanna pass on it, Yeah never know. I was told that is was designed to taste like a RED, More like a rotten sock lol I wouldn't mind trying a cherry flavor but I still would like a nice throat hit with what ever I vape it is just me, Reds have a throat hit.

I'm telling you, steeping is a thing in the eliquid world. You would do well to heed my advice. You could end up throwing away perfectly find juices that merely need to steep and breathe.

No I hear you. Just telling u if it stinks hell I am scared to smoke it lol Yeah the video does make sense on the break down for sure. I am not going to order many e liquids till I find the right mg nic I can do all day long and night first. I am waiting on some 3mg and 6mg right now.

Well if I am correct with my days I have been vaping three days counting today as day three. Now remember I was a three pack a day Marlboro (Red or Red Special Select ) smoker for over 30 years. Today I have vaped pretty much all day except I did smoke two cigarettes today, I am extremely proud of myself and could not be any happier with those kind of numbers considering I have did this


with my first mod it being a Aegis X with a cerberus tank for starters. I am still waiting on a lower 6mg nic level and another tank presently to with some Z coils to try out for continued testing and the hopes of finding that still "Sweet Spot" that we all look for when vaping. I hope you all are doing well today.

Today has been a really rough day for me it has also been very disappointing as well. I am one of those who never lie in life I figure why lie to anyone or to yourself there is no reason to really because each and everyone of us are far

from being perfect, In reality a perfect person does not exist, We are all human beings. That being said I have noticed since 2pm yesterday and 7pm tonight I have smoked 19 cigarettes total, I was hoping it was a lot less but I have looked at that number it is correct.

I am still waiting on that ZLIDE Tank extra Z Coils and that 6mg e liquid that I ordered as well the other day ago to try that too. It is worth noting presently when I use my Aegis X I am having a time using it at times so it seems, I understand that this is only day four that I have been using it but I cant seem to get that throat hit that I am looking for without it being to harsh or chocking me out. I have tried

15W not enough hit, I have tried 19W not enough, Now when I go to 20-25W and up I do get a decent throat hit but then it gets harsher again pretty quick of course. It is also worth noting when ever I pause for a few or take a break from the mod for awhile and then go back to vaping it again it instantly seems to harsh, I Just cant find the right setting for what I am looking for seems like. I have noticed that I still

think my 12mg is still to high of a level of nic though because I cant do it all day without getting dizzy still, But I am not sure of this, Could be the nic is to high or maybe I am not using the mod correctly still, Learning curve. I guess there is nothing I can do till my stuff gets here which is also causing me to smoke more cigarettes if that makes any since. I half to have some form of nic, I went from 3 packs a day to

thinking I could instantly vape over night in reality I have learned not all of us can do this, Because I was a heavy Marlboro Red smoker, Over 30 years is a very long time to smoke cigarettes. Don't beat yourself up. No one goes from a 3ppd to a non smoker in a day and it takes a while to fine tune your equipment to get that sweet spot. So you smoked just under one pack in a day. That's two packs you didn't smoke. It will get better. Just keep working on finding out what's right for you and stay optimistic.

Hi @DogsOfWars, Ive been reading your thread about your vaping journey with the Aegis X Mod and Cerberus tank. In my opinion the mod and tank your using is not the right set-up to use in order to make the switch from smoking to vaping.
The Aegis x mod with Cerberus tank is a powerful DTL vape kit. Its a really good set-up and perfect for the more experienced vaper, those wishing to vape at higher power and blow big clouds and get good flavor.

I did a review of the Aegis X mod with Cerberus tank a while ago. Here's the link so you can take a look. Geekvape Aegis X 200W Kit With Cerberus Sub Ohm Tank Review - Vaping Hardware
Because the Cerberus coil requires around the 30W mark to get a good vape, the nicotine strength your using is too high for this tank/coil. You will get a harsh throat hit.

To get you off the smokes, you would be suited to a less powerful device, ideally a MTL set-up such as a pod type device. This will operate and give you an ideal type of vape your looking for to mimic that of smoking. The juice your using i.e. the nic strength will be less harsh in this type of device.

The majority of the pods i have are perfect at around 10W as the coils in them dont require a higher wattage to achieve the perfect vape.

Most of all, dont panic. Making the switch can take a while before you find the ideal vape set-up and juice flavour and strength that satisfies you personally.

What worked for me when I first started vaping was to have about 4 different vape kit devices and you will find that you will prefer one of them better than the others.......to start with. Over time as you gain a better understanding and more experience, the devices that you were not so keen on will come into their own as you move forward on your vaping journey.
