Aegis X With Cerberus Tank

I don't have that tank. But you mentioned you have/had the flu. That could be the source of your burning/blister lip problem.

Also, people report all kinds of medical annoyances when quitting cigarettes.

Could even be your juice. Anything.

Hope others who have that tank can help, but I doubt it has anything to do with the tank.

It more then likely is this terrible cold I still have, Hell to be honest I cant really taste anything right now. But yeah my lips to feel kind of burnt red and sore, I don't think it is the e liquid because I have been vaping it for well over a week and it was find when I was using the Cerberus Tank too. More then likely it is because of my allergies and this head cold from hell now. At least my fever is gone think god.

I once got a burn/sore on my tongue from vaping. I was using the eGo at the time. I just pushed through it. Just keep on working until you find your sweet spot. You are making significant progress. You are down from three packs per day to just a few cigarettes.

Yeah will have three tanks to experiment with, Cerberus, Zenith and ZLIDE.

I didn't want to say anything because I know you probably may not want or can't get into rebuildables, and I don't mean to overwhelm you, but hear me out anyway ...

IMHO, given the tough times we in the USA seem soon to face with vape gear availability, I would keep that Cerberus tank. That tank takes the Ijoy EXO-s RBA section. An RBA section is just a rebuildable coil head that basically turns a tank into a rebuildable tank.

That EXO-S RBA is still available in a 5-pack in the USA from an Amazon seller. Bought many from them, legit and ships fast. It's a single coil RBA and it can make that Cerberus tank not only rebuildable but somewhat of a decent MTL tank. With:

- that RBA,
- a coil built to 1.0 ohms or above (with 28 or 26 AWG Kanthal A1 wire),
- the airflow turned to as tight a draw as you like,
- a 810-510 drip tip adapter and
- a 510 MTL drip tip

it's acceptable for MTL. (All above parts except for RBA are from Fasttech, a China-based retailer.)

And the important part is that it makes the tank vapocalypse proof as long as you don't break the glass. Of course, extra glass is available.

You don't need to hoard wire and cotton to build the RBA since those are available from non-vape suppliers.

I have been using this Zenith Tank pretty much all day, Think I had a few cigarettes because I was really craving them this morning more then other days. Have a question for those who use the same tank presently and the 1.6 coil. I have not used the device over 14W but my lips feel lightly burnt from vaping, Is this normal?? I have been chain vaping pretty heavy with this tank, Other then my lips feeling lightly blistered or raw the tank produces a great flavor from 12W to 14W just still cant find that sweet spot without it feeling light to much heat from the coil. I am still vaping 70/30 12mg e liquid. Hope you all are having a good day.

However, I never use just one tank in a days time. I always have several in rotation. If you had a cold or whatever then make sure to pull that tip and wash it once in a while.

Now look at that tip WOW, Man that they looks like it would be awesome, And can even chew on it a little for cravings or when the nerves are really bad. Am not being funny am being dead serious. Well half to look into that for sure too. Hey what can I say I might smoke a cig here and there but have not smoked three packs a day since vaping and joining the forum, And lets see up here where I am at a carton of cigarettes goes for $63.00 and I have not bought a carton this month so far.

I have it on 12W will leave it there for a week and 2 air holes, I know next month I will get the KROMA Z and since I have the Cerberus Tank, Zenith Tank and here soon when I get it in the mail the ZLIDE Tank I should be all set then.

That's a REALLY old style drip tip. Almost every tank came with those tips back in the early days. Reason why that one in the pic has teeth marks on it is because I use them on cigalike setups that I hold in from my teeth.

There are also these silicone drip tips that are the same shape that you may prefer that are easier on the teeth

Yeah I will for sure get some of those, They seem like they would be good over the hard plastic ones. Those don't have o rings??, Must be pretty snug and tight fit then huh??.

They aren't covers, they won't "fit" over another drip tip.

With, no oring. They are a bit wider than a regular plastic DT at the base. I suppose, as will all drip tips, they will fit tighter in some tanks than others.

But there are such things as silicone trip tip covers.

Just keep in mind, if you order from Fasttech, if it doesn't say "Ships next day" or "In stock", it could take a while to ship. And once it does ship it can take 2 weeks to 8 weeks to get to your door. Buying from China requires patience.

Got that ZLIDE in the mail today, I primed a new 1.6 coil and waited 15 minutes, It seems like I have plenty of vapor but between 10W -14W I have no flavor at any wattage. Am still using 70/30 e liquid, Worked fine on the ZENITH same kind of coil. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank You

Switch the coils between the 2 tanks and see what happens. If the Zenith tastes lousy and the Zlide is good, then you know that particular coil head that came with your zlide is the problem. A dud.

Well just tried both the old and new 1.6 in both tanks and I guess both are dead. Think I got a little over a week on the one that was in the ZENITH and looks like the one that came with the ZLIDE is a dud. Sucks will half to order some more 1.6 coils ASAP cause all I have is a 0.5 coil and 0.48 coil. Oh well.

If you're calling them "dead' only because of the diminished flavor, it's very possible you have vaper's tongue or your recent illness is messing with your sense of taste.

Not the same thing. Brush your teeth and tongue, rinse well with lots of water. try again.

It's too odd that yesterday your Zenith coil was fine, then today you get your Zlide and all of a sudden both the ZLide and Zenith have no flavor, and the Zlide coil is brand new. I'd bet money it's you, not the coils. If all it is is diminished flavor, just vape it. Better than cigarettes.
