Just acquired an Aeolus V2 Pro and realised the air hole setup on it doesn't cater to single coil builds. I usually aim for 1 to 1.2 ohm builds with 28 gauge A1 Kanthal and cotton. I'd need to build two coils with 12 wraps each. Seems a bit daft.
Could I get good flavour performance if I just built one coil and the other side with no coil but closed down the vent holes a bit more than usual?

I've just got an Aeolus Lite and am loving it- like you I always prefer single coil RTA's- I've just got used to the fact that most rda's nowadays are dual coil...

Are you just limiting to above 1 ohm because of the device you are using? Or using a mech and looking for a cool MTL vape? Since wicking isn't really an issue with rda's- I wouldn't have thought a dual coil (would be around 0.5- 0.7 from what you describe?) would cause too many issues- should still be quite a comfortable cool vape?

I guess you could always put a bit of tape over one of the airflow slots if you are set on single coil?- Not an elegant solution though!
