Man, I was so excited when I saw these! I am hooked on the protank but I always thought, geez these would probably be so much better if the airflow was improved. Then along comes the aerotank which features adjustable airflow... But even better than that, the bases are compatible with the previous PT versions. Great, I thought, because I have a lot of those. So ok, I'm sold, sign me up... I ordered two of the aero bases instantly.
So today I took leave of these two little marvels. Unboxed it, screwed in a coil, screwed it on to my tank. Dialed it down so that the holes were all fully open and took a drag...
It's exactly the same draw as the regular protank base. Dialed it up.. draw just got tighter. Compared the aero base to the regular base and sure nuff... They both just have three of those pinhole size airholes.
Soooo... Unless you felt that the regular PT had too much airflow, these really aren't going to be useful to you. Unless you know how to drill things out, then they could possibly be pretty good. Hopefully someone will invent these soon because that's what I wanted, and unfortunately that's what I thought I was getting. My conclusion.. aerotank base is utterly useless.
