Hi there

So, after running on Aerotank Megas for a week or so, I'm now back to my beloved PT2's.
Here's the reason: No matter what I did, they just wouldn't stop leaking out the air hole at the bottom.

I tried both PT2 coils with an extra silicone cup, and even bought a handful of the oldschool Kanger dual coils (with the wicks sticking out), both rebuilt to single microcoils with cotton wicks. I experimented with a normal amount of cotton and even tried stuffing them with cotton, to the point where pretty much every hit was dry (just to test it), but still they wouldn't stop leaking.

Also tested at both low and high voltage/wattage, no difference in leakyness.

I don't know if they're insanely temperature sensitive or what the heck is going on, I just know that I'm pretty frustrated, since I shilled out for 4 of them (got them at a good price, but still not the cheapest of clearos).

So here I am now, with my hard-hitting PT2's with microcoils again, and all is well.
But I so want the Megas to work, as they really do pump out a great vape and flavor, but I just can't live with juice all over my mods, hands, pockets etc.

Please ECF, tell me what I'm doing wrong, if anything? Or has anybody else had similar, poor experiences with the Mega?

How do you get a drop from the 510 connector? It's sealed. Or do you mean out of the base of the tank, where you fit the coil? If the latter, that's where all mine are drooling from too...

Haven't tried stock heads, silica isn't something I want to go back to.

4 bum tanks? I surely don't hope that's the case. Must be something I'm doing wrong, I just can't see what :(

Had a day off today, so been tinkering a bit with the Aerotanks again.
Assembled them after cleaning the other day, and tightening the parts together, to the point where you could hear the glass grinding.
Filled them about halfway (just whatever was left in my PT2's) and fitted new, rebuilt PT3 coils.

Vaped away, no issues at all. Then decided to refill and this is where I think it's getting exciting. I don't know if it's due to the whole pressure mumbo-jumbo or what, but shortly after topping them off (just filled 'till the edge of the air tube, no q-tip tricks or anything) and shortly after: Gurgle-gurgle-leaky-leaky. So maybe I just need to get used to letting the tanks sit for a bit after refilling, then blowing out the excess liquid, before vaping them again.

Anyway that's my best bid for a solution right now, but no idea if that's all it takes, or if more issues will surface.

Hell if I know. Maybe it's condensation? Maybe I drool. All I know is that occasionally I'll catch a drop down there and attack it with a q-tip to mop it up. Done deal. Either way, hope you get it sorted. I'm still a little in love with my Mega and don't necessarily think even the Nautilus Mini is tremendously better in terms of performance. Good luck!
