Aerotank Mini- Satisfied so far

Just pulled my aerotank mini out of the box, put it together with some VCV juice, and it is completely performing. The air flow control is exactly what I hoped for and expected. Wide open is an effortless draw, and closed is good for a concentrated hit. Now I have to see how these coils hold up. But right now this thing is chucking tasty vapor. Huge upgrade from my mini protank 2 which never got any airflow. I'll keep updated how it performs over time, but if it stays around the performance it's giving right now, it's worth 29.95 to save the hastle of dealing with a mini protank 2.

Agree with you, I don't have the mini but the Mega has been great so far.

I am getting the weirdest damn phenomenon with my mini aerotank, when, I vape something is coming through the mouthpiece and it is literally stinging my tongue. When I say stinging it is literally like a shard of glass is coming through and cutting my tongue, not like a chemical sting... a literal physical sting. Anyone know what this is?

Not sure but I can will note on 2 things that came across.

1- I like the Protank 3 coils better than the coils made for the mini and the mega. With the new coils you get a cracking sound and that could be zaping you in some weird way.

2- The new coils seem to disintegrate. One poster wrote he saw a piece of wick in his tank floating around. When I read it I started laughing. But actually it's not funny. I noticed the wicks started to come out of the mini holes on the coil. The Protank 3 coils have more wick and absorb more juice in my opinion.

Basically, the Protank 3 coils I think will be better for you.

That is mini droplets of hot juice being vaporized on the coil and popping through the air hole/mouthpiece back onto your tongue, I know because I've experienced it before. Try dialing down your voltage if you have a vv device. These mini's come with stock 1.6 ohm coils, which are easy to get too hot.

I can definitely report that the silica on these stock coils degrade fast, I can see some poking out of the tiny holes in the coil... the production cost of the new aerotanks probably increased a few cents so they had to cut costs somewhere.

Have you noticed the coil degradation on the PT3 coils?

Not at all. That is why I use the Protank 3 coils only. I don't trust these new coils after I saw what happened to the wicks. Also, just an FYI, they are coming out with newer coils, same as the new ones but instead of 2 small holes on each side, you will have one large one on each side. I won't be using these either.

Trust me when I say this, the Protank 3 coils are great and have great flavor. In our case, it's not the coil providing you with the great results you are seeing from these new tanks, it's the tanks themselves with the new design which has a great vacuum system. Both coils are dual coils, but the tank system with the new airflow is what is really making a great vape.
