Good evening ECF,

I've been vaping on my kanger Emow for about ~3 months now and I decided to buy something new to get more clouds, better flavor, and a bigger tank without using mech mods or rebuildables. I watched a lot of videos and decided on the Aerotank turbo. Among other videos, I watched a video from P. Busardo who had much success vaping at 25-27 watts and produced some pretty big clouds with decent flavor. However, I'm not enjoying the same level of success.

For starters, I know that he was running a higher VG ratio than I am.. I'm only running 50/50 but I cannot seem to vape any higher than 20 watts without getting an awful burt taste and sometimes if I inhale long enough, 20 burns too. I cannot seem to figure out why.

I'm running the Aerotank Turbo on a Pioneer4u seven30 with an efest 26650 3.7V battery and two 1.8 dual coils registering at 1ohm. I've tried to close the holes up to pull in more liquid but the coils are still tasting burnt regardless. These are brand new coils that came with the tank today and I have let the juice settle for about 20 minutes and have also primed them with 3 drops in each tube and a powered off charge. If I drop it down to 18 watts, I don't get a burt taste but the flavor and vapor production is not quite where I would like it to be.

Does my 50/50 blend having anything to do with it? Like, does higher PG develop a burnt taste quicker than a thicker VG ratio? I've seen countless videos of folks getting great flavor and vape production at 25-30 watts but it's not working for me. I'm sure it's something I'm either doing wrong or not doing at all

Thank you!

Anyone able to help out? Overall the tank/mod was like 120$ and I would really like to be able to use this ;).

I bought a Turbo when they first came out. Hoping it would be a bigger, better version of the Mega. It's not. I thied it on the battery I bought for it, 3800 mah Kamry Bacchus, and all I got was dry hits so I put in 0.8 ohm coils, then 2.0 ohm & 1.6 & 1 & 1.2. Still choked me. Tried it on my MVP & Istick. Same results. Bought a 26650 Stringray for it. Very little to no help. Returned it to Sweet Vapes for a refund. They sent it back. My guess is that it needs a 30 watt, regulated mod, throughly primed and drawn on very slowly. I sold mine in the classified secton for what another Mega cost.

The thing to remember with the turbo is that you are really running 2 1.8ohm heads, which will cut the resistance down to 1ohm. When you get to resistance that low you need more liquid flow to compensate for the faster heat up time. My wife uses the aerotank v2 with the 1.8ohm dual coil head and likes it around 7 watts. If I try turning it up to 10 watts or more it gets burnt after a few hits. Adding a second head would only make the worst as now you need to supply the same amount of juice to two seperate heads at the same time which is typically done by your inhalation on the tank. I would suggest starting around 12-14 watts and slowly taking it up to where it taste best.

As far as liquid goes in my drippers I find I have to add more liquid at a slower rate when it is a little heavier on the vg. More pg based liquids I tend to burn through it much faster and requires dripping a little sooner. Those heads from kanger have very small liquid passage wholes so if going with a heavier vg juice you will want to make sure it isn't too thick and will still flow properly. My wife uses juice that is 60vg/40pg.

I'll try that 40/60 ratio you mentioned, thanks! I believe you are correct about slow inhales too. I did notice the coils can't keep up if I inhale too hard and too long.

Any idea how folks were running 25 watts through this without gagging? I believe they were also using the stock dual coil 1.8 heads

any solution to the burnt taste? i have the same exact setup as you seven-30/e-fest 3.7 and its been about a month or so and in the beginning, everything was just fine, no burnt taste but after two weeks or so, i began getting burnt tastes even after changing the coils and cleaning my tank out. i also always left my wattage at 20. i used 70vg/30pg juices and also 50/50. i want to add when i first started using this setup, my ohm was reading .9 until i changed into new coils(same 1.8ohm dual coils that came in the box) and its reading it now at 1.0
