I'd avoid the reo like the plague.I had one and melted the button on it after 2 days use. They offered to fix it for me for a mere $20 more.I fixed it myself and traded away the next day.If you're strapped for cash, build one(pictured above)should cost you about $10 and takes 1/2 hour to build. It will also teach you how badly people are getting suckered in paying $200 for a battery holder.

That is just your personal opinion. No one is suckered into buying any mod and it isn't nice to say so.

Thankfully my experience is 100% positive with all of my REOs mods. And I have a Vmod also.

So I saw a couple of threads here about the Reos mod. I'm really interested in that style, but man... it's expensive for me. Are there more affordable mods of this style? I really like the fact that it's a dripper without the user actually having to drip. Thanks.
Like most said, just to get your feet wet in bottom feeding either the Aurora or the Boge/VMod. It is always a good idea to really know that you like something before buying the top tier products of said category. Sounds like you already like the quality vape of dripping so you'll probably love bottom feeders. Good luck and let us know what you end up buying!

If you had made a good argument I wouldn't have to say "Just ignore that guy".

The fact that you melted the button means you mishandled it/don't know what you are doing and thus blaming it on the mod. I shorted mine with a coil setup and all I did was replace it in 2 minutes. And to build a quality, long lasting and effective bottom feeder box mod is not a $10 easy 1/2 hour task unless you build a basic crappy one. Give credit where credit is due and all the bottom feeders out there have their merit. We are getting hooked for quality, effectiveness and customer service, not only for the REOs but pretty much any mod you commit to buying.

@UntamedRose
I consider that a non-fanboyism retaliation :p Feel free to edit/delete it if you think it isn't :D.

Curious, is this a new APV? I have a Vmod, but it's from Vapage... Is Boge trying to horn in on them?

The Boge Revolution predates the Vmod by more than a year. The author would have been more clear to say "revolution/vmod" or "boge/vapage", maybe... I understood, but I've owned them both and I think I call the revolution "the boge" in my mind.

Yup :p For some reason it sounds both easier and catchy to just say Boge :D

Oh yeah. It slipped my mind that the first Revolution wasn't a feeder. I should have remembered that. They sent me a couple of them (both colors - white and black) for review and neither one worked. Then they wouldn't send me a V2 and I had to wait for them to get to US vendors... I really should have recalled because I waited quite a while after they were here and got mine maybe 2 weeks before vendors started selling the 2.1. Lousy timing for me.... but really, I never ended up thinking that the 2.1 was much better than the 2.0.

For your notes: The first mention of the VMod on ECF was the shill job posted by cajen spice on April 15th 2011. I recall that thread quite well because I remember thinking it was a scam. In fact, I even said so in that thread. The pic "cajun spice" linked to was domain root directory on a web host with hotlinking disabled, so he/she had to actually know the file name and domain abbreviation to link it - "cajun spice" lived in the same town as the website owner (chatsworth, ca) - and also the picture looked like a fake to me (which didn't turn out to be true) because I owned a cigar torch that had such a similar shape and color that I was pretty convinced the pic cajun spice posted was just a photoshopped pic of one of those lighters. - For the record, I was really glad when it turned out to not be a scam. I still think the shilling was completely uncool and am still baffled that the ECF mods at the time allowed it, but I was very happy that it turned out to be for real.

I forgot to link the thread. This is it the one. It sort of nice to look back that far at some familiar names I haven't seen in a while... and laugh at the blatant shill job.

Actually he should've said The Boge Revolution or the Vmod to not confuse anyone at all. I wasn't trying to start anything when I asked the question. With all the clones as of late, I was curious if they were making a new APV I wasn't aware of... Have you taken a look through the FastTech site lately?

Don't feel bad I used to think like you when I was new. After building a few my own battery holders I saw the errors in my thinking. The crappy battery holder pictured above still works fine to this day, about 4 years now,and it's cost was less than $10 and really did only take me about a 1/2 hour to make. I wish my reo would have lasted as long.

I couldn't feel better if I wanted to. I'm in vaping nirvana, need I say more? :p

You are assuming I haven't tried, or seen others show me theirs. No comparison at all in quality. Your REO only lasted 2 days due to a melted button? Probably your fault due to a short. People have had theirs for quite some time, years, etc. It can last a lifetime. User handling of a product is very important and you seem to ignore that completely. I can grab the most expensive high quality mech mod that comes to mind and destroy it in 1 minute and come here and say it's trash while it was my fault. You are doing exactly that.

I find it hard to believe you could build a box mod in such time when your complaint about the REO was a simple melted button due to most likely user mishandling.

REO, Boge, VMod...yeah I'm bad at saying full names :p

I try to avoid looking around FT too much...I get headaches :D

What is that on the top of the mod where your tube comes out (the white part)? I've wondered that for a long time since madvapes did an identicle mod (limited run - they only had 25 of those top feeders) in March 2011. I expected them to start selling a kit for it, but they never did.

I've decided to go with a VTR. It looks pretty versatile due to that tank compartment. I'm gonna look into turning it into a bottom feeder. The aurora looks like it should fit in there. Plus the mod is super sexy.

Thanks again guys!

And chuckie, I might be hitting you up for tips on custom builds in the future.

Gotcha. Same as the VVPV. Thanks.
U R welcome and correct, same as the vvpv. There are some threads around (which I used)that explain how to make them and the parts needed.Wish I could be more help but it's been some years since I searched the threads.Try searching bottom feeders or nicostick. All the info including parts is there.Just remembered, try a "juice box " search.
@iz2...no problem,if you can touch a soldering iron to a piece of metal they're really easy to build.
