afs v2 help needed

Hi all,

Last week I bought a afs v2, the attached is what I recieved (2 photos). I am including two You Tube videos that show how to put them together to use on a pv. I believe I am missing something because I really don't see how I can connect this both to the atty and also the pv. Please help me understand or let me know what I am missing to get it to work.

Dear GG folks,

In the Pictures I've included, I have lined up the parts for two different tanks - I understand that one tank is incomplete but there is supposed to be one complete unit that I could set up (if only I knew how) and vape on tonight!

I might be missing something, but that looks like a an aVs v2 not an aFs.

Furthermore, once you've screwed the 510 atty (or 901) onto the atty connector, there's only one place to attach that...the control tank.

yep, those are the avs v2, not afs v2. you could by a ggts and use it on there, or buy a collector tank and an all mods cap to use it as an afs v3 on any mod, but as it is it's just an avs v2 for ggts. hope they weren't actually listed as any type of afs v2 for sale.

I have AVS and the top one sure looks like the ones I use -- B-Rad, what is the bottom one, you have an AFS.

here's an afs v2:

i think the bottom unit it in the op's pic is an incomplete avs v2. it looks like the adapter pin has been unscrewed further out, and it's missing at least a mouthpiece...but it still looks like an avs, not afs. quick check would be to see if it has the GG wings on it, and if so it's missing a lot more than just a mouthpiece.

Yes, they were identified as afs v2 -- so where could I get a collector tank and an all mods cap? Are there any available - and where?

contact Bruce (Bigbuyer on ECF) at clouds of vapor. it doesn't look they are in stock right now, but he may not have gotten his big GG shipment in yet which should be soon. may want to take it up with the seller who mislabeled it too.

Yes, I have contacted the seller who dodged me on this until last night and now he basically said he was/is confused and had no idea - he had sent me the extra tube (the more incomplete one) and an atty and said with all that he sent it was a great deal. He also claims he was able to use this unit on his darwin, since I had asked him before buying it if it could work on other mods. I really don't see how it could.

I would like to see what it would take to make this avs work for me before anything else.

my guess would be no darwin and no afs, but at the very least you can't use what you presently have as any sort of afs...so no afs. but you've got (almost) two complete avs units, which depending on what you paid could very well have been a good deal, but if you don't want a ggts to use them with, you'll definitely need the all mods caps and collector tanks.

I would like to see what it would take to make this avs work for me before anything else.

the all mods caps were selling for just under $30, which i'm pretty sure includes the collector tank because the original collector tanks from ggts didn't thread on to the cap properly. so when it becomes available again, which will hopefully be soon, you can turn what you have into at least one afs v3 for $30.

The all mods cap costs around $20 and to my knowledge does not come with the collector tank

it was $25.50, just under $30, and if it doesn't thread on your existing AVS collector tank, then a new tank that will thread properly is included.

OK, just to clarify part of the reason I sold these tanks was because of not having time to follow what is what with GG, Imeo is constantly updating his line and somewhere I kinda got lost,I ADMIT that..I had overtime purchased 3 of these, the two tanks I sent her DO NOT, to my knowledge have wings on them.. OP paid 50$ for two tanks one I included I told her was incomplete, the other I believed everything was there with the 901 original connector that came with the tank, a gold 510 connector(witch I purchased separately for I think $30), a new 510 standard atty, and free shipping... I have apologized numerous times to OP for the error on my end and have offered her a FULL REFUND once I receive them back... I by no means intended on this to happen, OP I have sent you a number of options and you seam to be the one ignoring me?? Also you stating that I have "dodged" you is wrong, Maybe a day and half you did not here from me because(as I told you) the hard drive on my laptop died..Would you like to verify this with Apple? Also I did try and screw the 510 connector into another device(did not state that I used it on it) and it did start to thread so I assumed all was good, MY MISTAKE if I was wrong.. Now if you want a refund I'd be GLAD to do so!! Again sorry for my ignorance.

The pics you post are 2 AVS as BuGG said alisa. The one of them has a very long pin and its not an original AVS pin, its something else. You also miss a mouthpiece but this is not big deal. You cant make those units work until you buy a GGTS.

AFSV3 that works with all mods is not available right now. I will make new units but I am not sure when. So the solutions for now are to sell those AVSs or buy a GGTS or wait for the new batch of the AFSV3. Also you can post your request on classfields and maybe someone wants to sell you a cap, a collector tank and a ring. Its a little difficult request because the seller would want to sell you the whole unit but you can make a try.

Hello All - thank you for all your help. I have been working and not following this thread or even my pm mailbox.

Rock, yes you admitted last night that you were not clear about avs and asf, assured me that you were able to "use" it in your darwin. You offered no explanation as to "how" you used it in your darwin or any solution or resolution to this, just that you are confused. Frankly I have not decided what to do. When I said dodge I am referring to the many emails I sent you asking how to put it together - with specific questions and I felt more or less brushed off with your continuously saying it was confusing but I would "get it". Nor had I any intention of embarrassing you and have kept your name strictly out of it. As a matter of fact I only went to the gg forum as a last ditch effort because you just kept telling me I was not understanding something and also to evaluate what I want to do. So, please let me do that.

Is there a chance that I would be able to buy a collector tank, a ring and an all mods cap to use it as an afs v3 on any mod from the shipment going to COV? Are there parts for sale in the shipment? Or, if I bought a GG would I have everything here to make it work on that?

I have not received one e-mail from you alisab and just to clarify how would I receive them when I'm telling you my hard drive died? Apple had to put a new one in.. GG parts are confusing to a new user,there are so many choices(witch is great) I believe Rob stated this by the tank on his website.. I am confused about what is what because I invested in a ton of GG stuff and with the constant update's I did get lost..and just to clarify I sent you in this direction (GG forum) for help.. Now Im not going to sit around all week and wait on you to decide what to do, either you want them or you don't.. Im offering to refund the $50 you spent right now... Just send them back... I have apologized more than once to you for the mistake on my end...
