Hi Guys,

Just my AFS v2 from Cloud 9 today - thanks Lisa for all your help and patience. However just looking for some advice.

When I got it I cleaned, primed the atty and added the juice but couldn't get a decent draw. The unit was make a bubbling noise and I was getting liquid in my mouth. However I fiddled around and managed to clear the problem. It was vaping beautifully, but then it was time to re-fill it and unfortunately I'm getting the same problem again but als0 now I getting quite a leak from the CR.

I've made sure its all tight and I know I'm doing something wrong so I'm hope you may have some advice.

Thanks, Duncan.

Hi Jet my friend.:)

The 2nd problem you have (leakage) is because of your first one (bubbling noice).

When you refill you have to have the CR locked so no liquid will go outside the 8 holes. But after you do this you have to take off the liquid that came inside the atty because atty is always overfilled when you refill. And because atty is overfilled then the liquid goes on the collector tank and then it comes out of the 8 holes. So if you want to solve both of those issues you have to put liquid that came inside atty into its bottle again or empty it somewhere, or put a towel inside atty and turn the GG upside down pushing the button, so liquid will come to the towel.

Unlock the CR and you are ready to smoke

Jet, I want to ask you something else friend. Do you screw well the brass connector on the AFS? This is absolutely nesessary for AFS to work as it has to work. Maybe sometimes I forget how strong I screw things and I am thinking that all people can do that. Maybe I had to make small rhombuses around the brass connector so it can be screwed easier.

ps........ On the latest batch that Lisa received (you have an AFS from this batch), I havent put o-ring on the small cap. But you can also remove the o-ring from the big cap so you will not have an atty's overflood effect.

Imeo,

Thank you so much for your respones and I will try all your suggestions. Interestingly enough the problem went away again just after I posted the question. So I'm sitting here vaping away on GGTS and AFS as I type - its great.

All I can say is that you must have spent extra care making #326 because its amazing and I'm sure its better then anyone elses, lol.

Ah, one final thing I'm finding the threads a little tight and I don't wan to accidentally mis-tread the srew sections so is it ok to use Noalox on the treads as I do on the GGTS?

Regards,
Duncan.

Better not use Noalox on AFS but if you see that threads are really tight then put anywhere exept the big cap Jet. And remember to screw hard the brass connector. I am starting thinking that all leaking problems are because people cant screw hard the brass connector:(

We all know the comments I'm wanting to make about the first paragraph, right? I'm figuring there's not really a need to say it.:?:

Great advice imeo! I was thinking the same thing when I responded to clydes question about the brass part. Perhaps it might be a good idea to use the device as a back up when putting the brass part on the AFS. that is what I do now and have no troubles getting it tight. I put the brass part on the device and then assemble everything. Takes your hand off the brass ring and gives you a little more grip. I must stress though not to crank down on it as you might mess up your atty connection point on the device. I actually use a cap from another device so I don't mess up the 4 in 1 on the TS. So if you have a cap or a device with a 901 connection it would make a good tool for this purpose. Hope this helps....

I grab the smooth part of the brass bottom section in a cloth so that I can tighten it up really nice and firmly once I know it's started smoothly and not mis-threaded.

I find it too difficult to hold on and get a tight fit without the cloth. As you said, Imeo - maybe rhombuses on the next model.....
