This is just a side note, these things really work better with a little washer between the first and second nut. There is no way of saying that with out it just sounding wrong. I just put a washer on there and I am in love again. Just FYI if your new to this like I am. Happy vaping!

Like what kind of washer we talkin about? Yeah totally new to the Rebuildable Mesh tank systems. I have 2 A7's i set up with Cotton Wicks and 32G Kanthal but that was the extent of my knowledge.

So i had the thing working for a bit but wasnt wicking at all, so i took out the mesh and rerolled it a little tighter. Know its wicking well but the ohms on the coil are jumping all over again and im tightening down the nut as much as possible. When i do that the whole center post starts to move, if that isnt tight enough then i dont know what is.

Check the 2 silicone pieces for the center post, it shouldnt slide. Also make sure its bone dry. I forgot to dry it out once and I bounced between 1 ohm and 4 ohms. juice gets in there it will do the same thing. With everything reassembled take off the top 3 screws and screw it into your device as tight as you prefer. Lock the first screw in as tight as you can to the post. That should seal it good.

For wicking issues, make sure you have at least a 45 degree cut on your wick (Tank end) cause its real easy to close off that wick.

You want the nuts tight, but not so tight that it pulls your coil. There's obviously a short somewhere if it's jumping.

As mentioned, make sure that your atty is dry when setting up your coils. Or at least as dry as possible.

I typically wrap my coil on the wick before inserting it into the wick hole and +/- terminals. It could help. Also make sure that the bottom of your wick isn't touching the bottom of the tank.

Has anyone gotten one of these to work on an Itaste SVD because im starting to think that thats the culprit, it fires fine on my Itaste MVP all day but the ohms jump around when i put it on the SVD. And what type of mesh do you guys typically use with 100% VG eliquid?

Do any of your other attys have this problem with the SVD?

Spikes generally mean a short ... usually due to unoxidized portions on your wick where the coils are touching. Quick fire bursts with juice on the wick and/or a few burns with some juice and a lighter can help with this.

For good wicking make sure you have the fill hole open with no screw. Make sure your wick is smaller than your wick hole. This allows juice to flow from the wick hole better.

To prevent a hotspot try and get the wick as close to the center post as possible without touching by bending the top of the wick closer. Pull the wire snug and tighten the lock nut.

Once that is done even out your coils and fire. Move them around until the coils glow uniformly. Make sure the coils are touching the wick with no slack. If they are, you need to recoil the wick tighter. Now fill with some juice.

Fire again and make sure you don't see any coils glowing. If you do play with the coils again. If the top is still glowing you need to get the wick closer to the post. No really ... as CLOSE as possible.

Still rockin good with some Legend in it. Which is gone now  Do you guys clean the mesh with new juices or do you just put a new one in over it and eventually changes the taste to the new one?

The new taste will set in pretty quickly even on a wick used on another juice.

K thanks cuz now that i got this working i dont even want to move a thing lol in fear ill have issues again but i think im getting the hang of what i need to do from now on. I have to use my Itaste MVP to pulse fire it before i can use it on the SVD since the SVD has a 1.2 ohm limit which sucks but oh well what can you do? I like my SVD too much to give it up

The irony is that after posting I changed to a new juice with a new VG/PG ratio and suddenly I had hot spot issues. Decided to rewick/recoil today and went through 3 popped coils before getting it just right. Been awhile since I had that much trouble.

Hey ... it happens. Thinking I need to recoil every week just to keep my coil skills sharp. ;-)
