Anyone else have that issue? After 12-24h my liquid is becoming darker and darker, really looks filthy and I don't like it! :p

I just made a larger wick that is fitting tight in the hole, maybe this was coming from the top so this might help, will see by tomorrow... Anyone have some tips to fix this?

Pretty normal. It is backwash from your wick into your tank. I never vape down to zero. Syringe out the nasty looking stuff in the bottom and refil with clean juice. I sometimes give the wick a squirt with some vodka or other white spirit to give a quick clean up as well. The wick will get dirtier over time and you should clean it properly or replace it and recoil.

It is from the carbonization/caramelization of the juice. There is no way around it. The coils are hot enough to cause this. It happens with all forms of wicks, its just that with a rebuildable and stainless steel it drains down into the tank more easily since the wick is vertical and not filtered through material such as silica or cotton.

I think maybe the heat transfer contributes as well. Among what I have, I'll have to say that I get less juice cooking with the drunker tank. The ceramic seems to do a good job of containing the heat. When I get to the bottom of the tank, the juice is the same color as when I filled it.

sounds like the juice is steeping or maybe im wrong :)... also if the wick is over oxidized it tends to darkened the juice too...

In my case at least, I think you're right. I have a few 'baccy mixes that I mix fairly strong, in 10ml batches and they need to be vaped immediately. The dud just cooks them too fast.

I've seen gunk on the part of the wick that is wrapped with wire and have burned that off before, but I don't see any gunk on the SS wick that is in the juice. Just to make sure I am understanding what you guys are saying.... you are saying that regardless of that there is a buildup on the wick that is in the juice and that is what is darkening up my juice and making it taste bad? Is that right?

i must say, who the hell knows, when i vaped ss wicks i got very little darkening, and i only vape sweet juices. now that i have switched to ceramic, zero, no darkening at all. so my bet would be a over oxidized wick, also a wick with a large center hole. the large center hole can pull up juice towards coil, there it gets heated up, whatever doesnt get vaporized goes back down the wick hole and back into the tank. i would imagine if you had an unoxidized wick with no center hole your juice would stay pretty clean.

I've been using a Chobra and a AGA-t and don't have issues with darkening juice, even after it's sit for a few hours. I'm vaping some Vape-a-licious Gold Leaf in the Chobra that I put in the tank last night and it's still the same color as originally. Oxidized long wick and all...so who knows? I do tend to vape around 9.5 watts on the Chobra, so maybe I'm not "cooking" the juice....
