Hi Crash and welcome to ECF! I don't have a ProV but I do have the AGA T. As for the AGA, if this is your first rba you're in for a learning curve and a bit of tweaking learning to get the mesh and coils right. When they are good, I can tell you it's a great vape. There's a lot of info on it in this thread here. As for the AGA T in combination with a ProV, people do it very successfully. You'll need to watch out for building coils too low in resistance and while working through shorts. Both situations will give you error messages, but that will be the case with any RBA when those situations happen. Best of luck with it!

Vaping my DIY Mimosa with #400 SS and a 1.7Ω coil in my AGA-T screwed in on top of my Satin Black Provari

As Bigsmke mentioned there is a learning curve, but with some dedication and studying on ECF & Youtube its nothing impossible.

With Genesis style the wick is really the biggest hill to climb. But once you get one properly oxidized and set in place its a very enjoyable experience.

The AGA-Ts don't sit quite flush on the provari (because of the taper on the 510 side) but there is the Hippo sold at 405 Vaperz that'll give the finished look.

I just wanted to ask you if you would make some posts about how it's going if you get one? I have been thinking about trying one with my provari as well and it would be my 1st RBA. I really want to know if it can wick fast enough for chain vaping and if it can do OK at higher volts like at least 4.5 to 5 volts. Thanks and good luck.

If you use #500 SS mesh there shouldn't be any issue with wicking. I've vaped mostly VG with my #400 and it works great.

The 4.5 - 5 volts bit is going to really depend on what the Ω your coil is. While some people like the higher wattages it isn't really my bag at this point, so say 5v on a 1.5Ω coil may not work that great for me. It requires some playing around with the setup and figuring out just how you like it.

I am expecting my AGA Tiamet Plus any day now. It will be my first rebuildable. I'm not much of a tinkerer, preferring things to work right out of the box. I realize that there is likely going to be some trial and error with this, but I do want to experience the vape from a rebuildable.

I have a Provari also, and although I'll likely use it to measure my coils resistance, my goal is to resurrect my trusty Silver Bullet to use the AGA.

There's plenty of helpful and supportive people here willing to help. Thompson and Ehuman have already helped me immensely just gathering beginner information.

Thanks for the input. I guess I could have provided more information upfront. I have used an RBA before but it wasn't mine and I did not do any of the wicking or coiling. However I have recoiled and wicked (SS Mesh) my vivi novas and Kanger T3. I can't imagine that it is much more difficult to do the RBA. Again, I could be wrong but I am going to attempt the drill bit method for the coil when it arrives so we shall see. My concern was more towards form, fit, and function with the Provari.

Thompson, I do like the Hippo cap and may go that route. My only hesitation (aside from it being out of stock) is that if I do actually get a foggatti, I would also get the Provari base.

They are actually much simpler than working with replacement heads IMO. No more shorts on the metal head etc, much more working area.

The function is pretty amazing. I don't have any other genesis to compare it to but I have stopped using clearos/cartos and rarely touch my A7 drip attys unless I need a flavor change or to test a new flavor. The polished look of the AGA-T+ & -T2 look better to me than the knurls of the original. I plan on taking the knurls off mine.

But the smoothness is totally stopped by that taper on the end. Looks good with smaller diameter delivery systems but kind of wonky with the larger.

I did look at those Foggatti and they are a nice looking RBA. Didn't know they had a Vari cap though, which is pretty sweet.

Don't have a provari but I noticed that the agat2 doesn't work w/ my vamo in a twisted low resistance setup. It was quite a disappointment since it works like a champ on my stinger.

I noticed that the first thing I needed to get used to was the lack of gurgles and rattles which I assume is due to the heavy SS cap. I alternately use a vivi nova tank that makes me feel like i'm holding a rattlesnake.

Gurgling seems to be my Kanger's way of telling me to set it down and let it cool off. I am a bit of a chain-vaper and when the juice heats up and thins out it begins to gurgle just before it starts flooding. It also reminds me to fill to the tank as it also does the same when it gets below .8ml. Even with those issues I still prefer my Kanger over the Nova. Making the switch now for better flavors and vape. Also IMO, the Kanger just detracts from the aesthetics of the ProVari. Don't get me wrong I still like my Kanger, but it does not fit "visually". Maybe with a shorter Ego adapter it would look better but you would still have the step down from the Provari's diameter to that of the smaller Kanger. I do occasionally still run my nova but I have other issues there. If i run the nova all the way down the airflow is virtually nonexistent. (same with my U-DCT tank) When back it off It begins to rock sided to side....loose threads.
