Argh.... There's a good video but I lost the link....
Anyway... What I did and it worked quite well is this:

1) Make the coil on a drill/stick 1st. (keep it tight, don't spread the coils 1st)
2) Mount the coil on the terminals and then spread the coil to desired height.
3) Fire up. The coils should glow uniformly, this will 'prime' the coils as well.
4) Make the wick. (Oxidized, Unoxidized, Partially Oxidized...Up to you lah.)
5) Carefully insert the wick thru the mounted coil. It should go in just nice, if not, tweak wick.
6) Fire up and see result.

Low vapor can mean a few things:
1) Poor wicking of mesh.
2) Uneven heating. i.e Hotspots.
3) Inhaling teqnique.

Just my few cents...

You mean this?

Ahh...
Something like that, but not the exact video. Good method.

@Elson: Practice makes perfect. Some can get it right on the first, many many others get it done by repeated practice.

I think it's getting more n more like a journey of self-discovery for you! lol....

So true, but many hours of sitting and coiling...... thank God I've pulled through.

Not to mention the swearings and verge of trashing the whole da*n thing...

You just have to get it right once, and you'll get the feel of how it works.

Maybe you want to practice using Nichrome wire 1st? It's easier to come by...

Yah that's a good thought. Nichrome can be gotten at about $1 a metre at our friendly neighbourhood electronics shopping centre. 28AWG the thinnest they have I think.

I am now using 1.8 ohm at 8w (3.79v) and its working much better, but the draw feels kinda stiff....any suggestions??
the wick is broken in, its a 4/3 wrap 32awg...finally running stable 1.8ohm so i decided to up the watts, no burnt taste, more vapor.....happy....but the draw is still stiff, messed with lining up intake hole and sometimes better than others, but still kinda weird draw....HELP?????

elson, the mesh you oxidise the whole sheet then roll it, try this method

after oxidise and roll, saturate the wick with juice or plain pg. light the whole thing on fire and let it self extinguish. It's very hot at this moment. Let it air cool or blow cool it. then proceed with coiling. This is the ba jiak method for me.

You can try enlarging the air hole
