There is one main difference: The T2 has a glass tank, the T+ has a plastic tank.

I think the T2 might also have O rings where the tank meets the upper and lower sections instead of grommets, but imo that's pretty negligible.
I bought my T+ because the T2 was out of stock at the time, so I got a glass tank to go with it.

since the glass tank only costs $5 max it doesnt make much sense to me that the t2 was $10 more than the identical t+ (minus the glass tank)

however, it sounds like you were at a b&m. if thats the case, the markup makes sensee to me. some people hate that b&ms are higher priced, i personally am always a fan of supporting local business so ill pay the markup

T2 top cap has orings where you can align air hole a lot easier where T+ has threads sometimes not being able to line up airhole close to wick. Another difference is the knurling on the edges. T+ has em T2 does not

This is not true.

The original AGA-T had a threaded top cap and knurled edges. The AGA-T+ and AGA-T2 both have o-rings, are easy to position the air hole at the wick, and are identical in this way. The AGA-T+ has no knurling on it anywhere.
