Serial Anti-vape Researcher Says 'Young People' Using Open System Set-Ups More Likely To Become Heavy Smokers

Researchers claims that mods can do more harm to the teenagers than those banned sealed pods like juul. A 12-month study shows that pen or pod users during the 12 month eventually smoked 2.83 times more than none e-cig users of the same age, while those using dippers or tanks were shown to be smoking 8.38 times more cigarettes 12 months down the line.

Interestingly, the kids’ data and the study are both originated from The University of South California – a state known for being as anti-vaping as you can get.

Jessica Barrington-Trimis is an assistant professor who took part in this latest study and says:

“The type of device that participants use may be an important risk factor for higher levels of cigarette smoking.

Device type may be an important target for regulation to reduce the burden of tobacco-related disease stemming from e-cigarette use.”

Let’s ignore the controversy whether e-cigarettes will actually bring the same harm as traditional tobacco. It is very doubtful whether this lady herself studies e-cigarettes from an objective and impartial standpoint. Barrington-Trimis appears to be a ‘serial’ anti-vaping researcher with a number of such studies against her name.

The funding for her research is also interesting.

It comes from a number of anti-vaping heavy hitters:

·National Cancer Institute of the National Institutes of Health

·National Institute on Drug Abuse

·Tobacco-Related Disease Research Program

·National Institutes of Health

Scientific research with prejudices and personal standpoints is not convincing and would tend to cause more public disgust.

Yes, add another "study" that flagrantly confounds the alleged "gateway effect of kids vaping" with kids trying to quit smoking combustible tobacco products by trying to switch to vaping... the more they keep confounding it in this manner, the better. Don't ask too many questions like what part of California has the data to show that these kids weren't already smokers before they tried vaping, just keep adding more fake science because we LOVE fake stuff─no we're not addicted to it, we just LOVE it so much that we'll keep repeating it, till hell freezes over, and freezes over twice if necessary.

Definitely, the scientific research itself is not rigorous, the data sources and research methods are ambiguous, and the position of the research itself is very doubtful.
But helplessly, the masses tends to like simple and crude labeling, and is not willing to spend time and energy to explore deep truths:unsure::unsure:

I want to find the genetic "defect" that causes people to fund and complete this type of "research" and disseminate a virus to fix it.

But I'm very much afraid it might be the same as "stupid" and I have heard you can't fix that.

Wow, I have to admit that the language is powerful, especially yours. What a good satire.:thumb::thumb::thumb:
