So few weeks back I ordered the smokelessimage volt, great product btw. But as I have been getting familiarized with these products cleaning, refilling carts etc, etc. I was wiping the battery connection area with the hole its the 68mm auto bat. Silver chips came off around there, which is totally frustrating dont want to be inhaling tiny metal particles....

But the main question would be has anyone else ever had this problem? And should I contact the volt CS to see about warranty? All input is appreciated thanks.

Hi and welcome to the forum

I would contact them. Sounds like the plating is flaking off, could be hazardous
I suppose it's possible they could make their way up through the cart/ carto
Hopefully someone with more experience with that model will chime in

Contact the vendor, I have a couple Volt batteries and no flaking whatsoever.
They should stand behind their product, definitely let us know -- good or bad.

Definitly contact Smokless Image. I've found them to be outstanding and I think they have a month warranty on batteries. You might try their thread. They have a rep on it most of the time.

I assume you are talking about the paint finish on the battery? In my experience, this is a normal wear and tear issue and doesn't effect the performance at all. And I wouldn't worry about inhaling any paint particles. If, by chance, a fragment of paint were to make it into the air hole, this is not a substance that can be vaporized and inhaled as the atomizer temperature is too low to make that happen. If you are like me, your ecig rarely leaves your hand and between the friction of handling it so often and the wiping with cloth (with or without some kind of cleaning substance) that paint finish is going to wear off a little.

Ok thanks very much for the info, I have notified the CS, hope fully they could replace this or something, function wise works as far as I know. Just dont want the threads and nozzle area to keep chipping for stated reasons. Am hoping this process happens fast, its my only bat was cheapskate got the basic kit.....and it is working so much better then I ever thought it would. My supplies are limited 1 bat 5 cartos dont want to be without -.- got this 9/14/2011 and have maybe smoked 3 packs since then.

So I will just wait and see what happens with CS, I want to buy more so i could be totally free from analogs, but I am kinda leary at this point.

Ok well thanks for everyones input on this subject. I got a new bat sent free. They stated mine should still work fine even with the chipping but sent me. So I got to say smokelessimage.com has awesome cs and great products and $$. I would reccomend them to anyone looking for more analog size. So my final verdict is GREAT company
