AGI dual assisted wicking coil/tank

If I drilled another airhole to line up with the other coil, would it impair function when using it in single coil builds? I was thinking about a wick going across the top through a horizontal coil and through a vertical coil, with both sides of the wick in tank.

I tried it with yarn first. Less of a pain than cotton balls to see if it would work. The whole strand of peaches and cream works good at the agi wick holes. A few quick burns, I saw it bubbling in tank..I had to cut a thread out for coils. The coils I'd like to do over, but they're within <200miliohms of each other. I thought that was pretty good for having a vertical and horizontal coil for first attempt...

I'm going to rewick with a cotton ball. I'm going to make a bed with some cotton for in between coils, with a little extra cotton before the wick hole. If that works better, I'll drill into my drip cap.
