Hi all. Have been a lurker fo a couple weeks and have found some wonderful information in the forums. I started vaping and quit smoking on 3-7-11 just over 3 weeks and have zero urge to smoke regs. Trying out new gear and juice has cost almost as much as smokin did so far...once I find what works for me I know I will be saving a truckload of dough! Here in Spokane it's hard to find smokes for under $7.50 a pack and I smoked over a pack a day.

I have already built 2 usb pts. I am close to my puter at home and at work (which is nice, I don't have to go outside to get my fix). The first pt was bigger and had less wiring the second I put an led to tell me when it's plugged in and an led when the button is pressed...not really sure why but it's cool :) and cost less than 10 bucks to make.

Im sure I'll throw in my 2 cents here and there...thanks for having me.

Yes, it is grand. I've been off cigarettes for more than 14 months now. And, if I stop to think about it, I'm still amazed with how effortless giving up a 35+ year habit was for me. Before vaping, the thought of dropping cigarettes was actually a frightening thought to me!!!
I hadn't planned to stop cigarettes when I ordered my first PVs. It just happened.

However, I don't expect to enter the ranks of "saving money" for a long time (see banner), if ever ...
And, I'm ok with that. I've made it a hobby as part of my escape from the stinkies, and have in mind the medical expenses avoided down the road.

As a vaper, I'm still a nicotine slave. And, I still drink coffee. I put those two things on par, so far as health hazard is concerned. I gave up the smoke & tar, they're the killers.

congratulations & welcome to ECF!!!!!! I hear you, it feels SOOOOO good to NOT be smoking! I mean why smoke something that tastes like dirt with mint in it when I can get the same amount of nicotine in something that tastes like vanilla, or cheesecake? On April 5, it'll be 2 months for me, and I don't ever see myself going back to smoking.

I know how everyone feels! I had quit smoking analogs 3-4 times before I found vaping, the day I got my eGo I never picked up another analog. I have half a pack of Marlboro Special Lights on my dresser that I honestly can't throw away, it's like a trophy sitting there... AND I've been out drinking quite a few times, took them with me, and still never diverted from my eGo. If you thought you liked the commrodery and conversation starters like "hey can I bum a cig?" try taking a PV out. Granted I keep a filled cartridge with me after my first outing... girls just wont take no for an answer to "OMG CAN I TRY THAT THING?"
