Not sure what it was honestly, as I snapped the leads off. Anyhow I tried again tonight and got one working. Ohms are way too high this time at 3.0, but its working. Not sure how its different from the protank other than a slightly smoother draw and three times the weight, but I'll keep fussing with it.

Same as ProTank but too heavy.. hmmmm. I can fix that for you. I'll trade you my like-new Kanger ProTank 2 (box included) with 10 heads and a spare base for your kayfun. I could use another Kayfun, and my PT2 is sitting with the same juice in it that's been in there since I got my KFL lol.

I prefer the PT 1 to the 2 and 3. I found the 3's dual coils made no difference at all, and 2 and 3 simply have more parts and are more prone to clog. Give me a week to see how I take to the Kayfun and I might trade it for the PT heads. What's supposed to be better about the Kayfun? Is it supposed to produce more vape, be more flavorful? I'm not trolling, I honestly can't tell. It works nicely (I'm using cotton wicking) but it seems the same as a PT to me. A little less vapor, same flavor. Also, do I need to replace the wick to change liquids with it?

I think you have better luck with BCCs than I do. The KFL was the first tank device I got perfect wicking from the whole time all the way until the tank is dry, with no gurgling, leaking, or dry hits. I didn't get consistant wicking from my Evods and PT2, especially when the tank was getting less than half full. The KFL keeps wicking fine for me in sub-zero weather which I appreciate in my area. BCC wicking in extreme cold.. as Mozzer would say, Fahgetaboudit!

The flavor for me is night and day. I get close to the same flavor with my KFL as I do my small rebuildable drippers, with BCCs I found the flavor passable for on-the-go vaping but not near as good as dripping. A big reason I think is that I get to use my standard micro with cotton with the KFL, but didn't rebuild my PT and Evod heads because it was too hard for me. The KFL just fits well for me as a hassle-free, consistent, top performance chimney. When it comes to toppers though, one persons treasure is another's junk.

Can you post a pic of your coil? Also what gauge wire & diameter of coil...should be makin' clouds, and much more flavorful than any Protank...

I think I just know all the tricks to my PT1 so well that it always works well. I mean Boston isn't exactly warm this time of year and mine wick perfectly when walking to the T and then standing there waiting for the train. They never gurlge either so long as I don't drip liquid into the chimney pipe (and if I do I run a q-tip up it... another perk of a PT1 over the 3 as a qtip wont fit in the 3). But yeah I know many many people have sub-optimal experiences with Protanks. I was just expecting some amazing difference with the Kayfun and instead its cool but the same. Granted I don't have a jig for coils and am using a drill bit and am still inexperienced.

The wire is 32g kanthal. I'll take a pic when I empty the current tank. To be fair though I occasionally build coils for an IGO-L and never thought that ever tasted any different from the PT1. Maybe more muted due to being hotter if anything.

Ok...the resistance/foot on 32g is really, really high. 14.5 ohms/ft vs 8.3 ohms/ft for 30g. 5.6 for 28g.

You really need 30 or 28 for the coil. 32g is usually used for silica...it gets pretty hot...

I'm sure Jerms will chime in with his preferred build, but mine is technically a milli coil. 30g, 3/32", 6 wraps, 1.8 ohms, set the coil about 1-2mm above the airhole, wicks perpendicular to the posts.

I use a 28ga Kanthal micro coil at 1 ohm with sterile rolled cotton fro CVS. That build works in everything rebuildable for me.

I don't like 32ga either, gets too hot in a small area, and it's so flimsy to work with. Thicker wire spreads the heat out, which makes a huge difference in flavor for me.

All over the place

I must've missed something because I am at a loss as to when ebay lifted its sanction against selling ecig products. I am even finding more and more usage of Paypal (and not just overseas) when that was a big no-no before. What gives? Anyone? Is it just the huge commerce side of vaping that made them rethink their previous position? Or is the proverbial "other shoe" still on its way down?

I've heard the clones have issues and don't always work well out of the box. That one's suppose to be good though I think.

This one is pretty good, and so is the EH Pro Kayfun Lite. I have both in addition to the genuine article and the build quality is near match with these clones. Stay away from the fasttech versions. Screws are made from something other than SS, and get all rusty up in there real quick. Hot mess with a capital "H".

From what I have been reading over the past couple of months it looks like Ebay may just be turning a blind eye to the ecig sales. From what I read they have not changed their written policy banning it. But PayPal is an accepted form of payment outside the US for ecig stuff. A lot Fasttech stuff is paid for using PayPal by USA customers. Rules are not equal. Policies can be enforced as chosen by Ebay evidently. There is a lot more ecig stuff on Ebay now than there was back in July of 2013.

HOORAY!

Looks like my order did the same as a few others..never received a shipping notice but it was waiting for me when I got home.

It is miserably cold here, like below zero cold. My sasparilla is cloudy. The other two juices are clear still though. I hope it's just the cold and it clears up when it gets to room temp.

Bananas foster smells AMAZING.
